Plane-Drone-UFO- Early Morning Synchronicity

Yesterday morning I had a little odd moment of "What was that thing anyway?"
For some reason, the night before, and all the morning as I was getting ready for work, I was thinking about the strange brilliant white spheres I saw over the playground at the school where I worked. I am now at a different school, but it's just six blocks or so down from the one I used to be at.

At the previous location, I saw over the course of several days, strange things in the daytime sky. Low flying white things, (estimated to be a mere thirty feet or so above ground) not much bigger than a seagull, just zooming by. Looking back, possibly drones, but this was before the big drone bonanza. Open fields surrounding the playground, but I never saw anyone out there who could be operating the things. During this same time, I also saw white sphere shaped lights just zipping across the sky. These appeared to be lit from within, just brilliant-white light, and (again, estimating) to be about the height of a low flying plane. Twenty thousand feet? Maybe a bit less? One day I asked a student walking by if he saw what I saw. He looked up, watched it as it flew by, then shrugged and said "I don't know, a UFO maybe?" and went on his way.

Yesterday morning, I was thinking about all this. Still thinking about it while I was standing outside at the school during my cross-walk supervision. I looked up, watching the geese who hang out on the field next to the playground, and notice a rectangular shaped object flying overhead. Seemed the size of a plane -- a little larger -- and at the height of a plane. What struck me was the brilliant white light. At first I though it must have been the sun glinting off it. But the white light (or so I assumed; it seemed to be an object that was lit from within) was so consistent over the entire thing, and stayed at the same level of brilliance the whole time I was watching it. It moved in a straight line, like a plane, but seemed to move faster. Then, it just disappeared. Gone.

I was struck by oddness of the synchronicity and the box-like, rectangular shape, not to mention the intense white light. Very unplane like. Yet, it flew in a straight line and at the height of a plane. One could say it was a UFO (man made or other wordily) disguising itself as a plane. How many people are looking up at the sky at 7:30 in the morning? And, of course, one could also say it was simply a plane.

I admit to a nagging feeling that something was not quite right about that however. The shape and the light -- just too odd.

Voices in the Dark, Abduction Dreams

A strange coincidence last night. I woke up suddenly, from a deep sleep. What woke me was Jim's voice. He said something very loud, very clear (though I couldn't make out what the words were.) It was as if he was talking to someone -- it sounded like he was right outside the bedroom door. But he was fast asleep in bed right next to me. This wasn't him talking in his sleep, or a dream. His voice had awakened me. I felt very uneasy.

Earlier this evening, I told Jim about this odd incident. He then told me, he awoke in the middle of the night (morning really) and thought he had heard someone on the porch, and the sound of the mailbox, or something, being moved. (True, it could have been someone messing around on our porch.) But he also told me he heard a voice talking to him and that's what woke him. It was a clear voice, very direct. Jim sleeps with earplugs in and the voice woke him.

For some reason when he told me that a very creepy feeling came over me. A sort of "there's more to this than just dreaming" kind of thing. We both looked at each other and got that shivery feeling that something is up in the realm.

The night before, I had a dream where I was waiting for some people, and they were very late. Days late. I'm standing outside, nighttime, under the starry sky. The people arrive, one by one. They tell me they've been abducted and that's where they've been all this time. I asked them if they remember any of their experience or did they have missing time. They told me they did indeed remember and that it was gruesome. They didn't want to remember. One said "I wish I had missing time, I don't want to remember."

Another Musing on Theory

After all this time, no answers. Theories, and usually those are presented as "THE" theory. A one time, one size fits all offering. Naturally, those theories don't work. So we're back to it.

But the classics still hold. Keel, Vallee, among them and many more. While I still think that some UFOs are literal spaceships from other planets (within our own solar system) there remains a huge part of the UFO phenomenon that doesn't fit that opinion. And that's the part that many find frustrating; what is it? Why does it do what it does? How does it fit in with … just about everything?

Well, as to "why" we don't know. Though it seems obvious "they" enjoy playing games, and maybe that's the why. That simple. Great joker, trickster, mind games playing energies that perform and contradict just for the hell of it. There's no great mystical "why" just that they're inter dimensional assholes. Or, maybe not, of course. Some say their performances are to wake us up -- that implies an altruistic agenda on their part.

Vallee on Sagan

Reading Colin Wilson's Alien Dawn, which I'm greatly enjoying. Excellent; it's been added to my list of books every saucer head should read.

Wilson had no trust or much respect for Carl Sagan, and in context of UFOs, this is understandable. Wilson refers to Sagan as an "…ambitious career scientist.."  A quote from Vallee on Sagan:

"If the saucers turn out to be significant, Sagan will take the credit for having theorized about cosmic visitors. If they are discredited, he will claim he always saw clearly through their mythical character." (Alien Dawn, p 112)

Coast to Coast This is More Like It, and, How I Don't Make Friends...

Tonight on Coast to Coast Shows: Linda Moultan Howe, and Rich Newman who will talk about his research on "creepy bridges."

I have been listening to Coast to Coast since the Art Bell days. Give me all the good solid old fashioned Fortean, anomalous stuff: ghosts, hauntings, UFOs, aliens, reptilians, lizard men, Sasquatch, monsters of all kinds, cryptids of all kinds, conspiracies (mainly paranormal/supernatural related), religions of a paranormal kind… all that stuff.

Politics, economics, and health, loosely tied to conspiracy and even less so to paranormal themes, not interested. Yet those subjects are the subject of Coast to Coast frequently. I'm bored! I am not interested. Give me contactees, abductees and orbs. More of the latter, much less, in fact none, of the former.

I'll accept spirits of the dead, life after death, and topics covering that realm, like dreams, but politics? How our money is worthless, Big Pharma is ruining both our health as well as our very lives? While true -- I have no argument against that -- I don't want to hear it on Coast to Coast. It's the only program on old fashioned, old school radio, of its kind. Stick to the weird, the unexplainable, the mysterious.

Oh, and don't get met started on skeptics and silly shills, like Seth-from-SETI.

While I'm at it, let's talk about George Noory. I realize I am risking some ire and if I ever am fortunate enough to see my works in print in a bona fide book form (Bigfoot from Outer Space stuff, Orange Orbs, etc.) I will not be asked to be a guest. But Noory drives me insane. I cannot stand his constant interrupting - just when a guest is into delivering a great bit of information, making an interesting point, raising a good question, along comes Noory with some inane, stupid, insipid question or comment. SERIOUSLY?! (And see what I've just done? He's made me regress to middle school speak.) He restates the guest's point in the lamest terms. Noory asks questions that the guest just addressed, as if the guest hadn't even brought the point up in the first place. My poor little transistor radio is duct taped in places; it's been thrown across the room so many times in sheer and agonizing frustration.

Many guest hosts on Coast to Coast are excellent. I realize they have a great gig and I have no idea how they truly feel about Noory. And, they might (assuming they read my blog which I realize of course, they don't, let alone know who I am) find Noory an intelligent guy and deep thinker.  But I find it intriguing I can admire and respect the likes of George Knapp, or Connie Willis, or Jimmy Church, who step in for Noory, while they make strange bed fellows indeed. I don't blame them at all, hell, if I were in their shoes, I'd do the same.

This is just my personal rant; against the non-paranormal, non-supernatural, non-weird slant Coast to Coast gives us too often. I understand the argument is something like "we try to give a broad array of subjects" and "we're not going to please everyone all the time" but I'd love to access a mainstream show that devotes itself to the weird all the time. (What I'd give to have a twenty-four hour television station devoted to UFO and paranormal topics.) (Not streaming on-line, but your every day serviceable television-on-the-TV show.)

Just Arrived: Colin Wilson's Alien Dawn

In today's mail: Alien Dawn, Colin Wilson's book on "the contact experience." Can't wait to read this book. Of course, as usual, my stack of books is high. Right now I'm reading Peter Levenda's Sinister Forces, still making notes in Mike Clelland's The Messengers, and making my way through the stack I have of Tim Beckley's books from Global Communications.

Seth Shostak on Coast Tonight

On Coast to Coast Shows tonight, we have Seth Shostak from SETI, discussing, among other things, ". . . the search for ET signals."



Space exploration in general is highly interesting of course, regardless of any ET presence. But when it does come to aliens, people like Shostak on a program like Coast to Coast, well, what is the point? Notice that the blurb states "search for ET signals" not even ET himself, her or themselves. Just "signals." And as always, ignoring the obvious: that ET is here and has been here for a very very long time.

Eugene, Oregon Cloaking Triangle Sighting

A report of a triangle UFO with orange lights that cloaked itself in Eugene, Oregon. I don't recognize the street from the photos shown with the article. After the UFO disappeared, two helicopters hung around for awhile. Just when I was thinking there isn't much going on around here.

Oregon witness says UFO ‘cloaked’ itself | Openminds.tv: An Oregon witness at Eugene reported watching a triangle-shaped UFO with three orange lights that eventually cloaked itself and disappeared, according to testimony in Case 79421 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

Skinwalker Ranch activity shifts from paranormal to prosecutable | News | ubmedia.biz

New item on the Skinwalker Ranch in Utah. I've been fascinated by this story ever since the book came out. Was fortune enough to see George Knapp give a presentation on his experiences at the ranch at the McMinnville UFO conference a few years ago.

Among the many, many weird things -- highly weird things -- concerning this story is the involvement of Robert Bigelow. Who is a strange bedfellow indeed with MUFON and the FAA.

Anyway, illegal activity is also afoot, not just the paranormal or supernatural:

Skinwalker Ranch activity shifts from paranormal to prosecutable | News | ubmedia.biz: The road is currently gated illegally since it is a public class-D county road, but the owners seek to legitimize the gates by having the road abandoned by the county. The ranch's previous owner, hotel magnate and aerospace entrepreneur Robert Bigelow, gated the public road to deter trespassers. (ubmedia.biz)

Can't blame them I suppose, it must be very discouraging, not to mention highly annoying, to hassle with yahoo trespassers all the time.

"We just have so many problems with trespassers and people down here and vandalism, and it’s very, very scary," said the elderly woman who, with her husband, is a caretaker for the ranch. "It’s really bad and we really hate it, and we don’t want to be bothered. We’re bothered constantly, day and night." (ubmedia.biz)

It's a good article, noting that high strangeness in the area goes way back, long before the book came out. Part II will appear next week, according to the website.

Those Very Creepy Clowns . . .

Clowns seem to have a category all their own in the Fortean World of High Strangeness. The latest: clowns freaking people out in Greenville. Understandably, the authorities are not amused. And as much as I detest clowns, and understand the communities' ire, since when is it against the law to dress like a clown? Isn't that unconstitutional or something? The response of the police is as Fortean as the rest of this weirdness.

Addressing the incidents at a media conference Thursday, Greenville Police Chief Ken Miller said officers will arrest and charge anyone dressed up as a clown.
"It's illegal. It's dangerous. It's inappropriate, and it's creating community concern so it needs to stop," Miller said. Source: Greenville Online.

It's unknown why people are dressing like clowns, standing silently while staring at people. Fears about child napping clowns abound.

It may seem odd that that the police are threatening arrest of those in clown costume, it's a law on their books:

According to South Carolina state law, no one over the age of 16 can appear in public wearing a mask "or other device which concealed his identity." The statute makes exceptions for people whose trade or employment involves wearing a mask. There's also a city of Greenville ordinance that prohibits "molesting, disturbing or following persons." (Greenville Online.)

The anti-mask wearing law still seems unconstitutional, and the part about "…following persons" seems subjective.

Laws aside, it is unnerving -- I wouldn't want to come across some creepy clown standing around, wordlessly  staring at me -- but far more disturbing is the affect on children. The following is from Cleveland's Fox 8 news:

Deputies confirmed Monday they were called to the apartment complex on Aug. 21 to investigate after residents reported seeing “a suspicious character, dressed in circus clown attire and white face paint, enticing kids to follow him/her into the woods.” 

Investigative reports state police met with a mother, whose name was redacted, who witnessed the clowns in the woods after her son notified her of their presence. The woman told deputies the clowns were shining green laser lights in the woods.
Another resident also reported seeing a “large-figured clown with a blinking nose” standing under a streetlight near the trash dumpsters.
Deputies spoke with children who told them clowns tried “to persuade them into the woods further by displaying large amounts of money.” 

The Greenville clown scare is only the latest in a wealth of historical clown strangeness. All you have to do is Google something like "clowns Fortean" and all kinds of items come up. The first one being a 2007  blog entry about a Fortean Times article on clown appearances by, of all people, debunker Benjamin Radford. Which only adds to the high strangeness factor.

A Fellow Tarot Card Reader and "Maybe" Person

I recently vendored at the Eugene, Oregon Pagan Pride Day. A first for this city. Hopefully it will be an annual event. This was the first time I've read tarot cards in that setting. Amazing experience! I met many interesting individuals, and  had some profound experiences during readings. (Energy light balls, for example.)  From a practical perspective, it was a learning experience; I realized what an intense energy drain reading for the public in that setting can be. It was a good thing; I learned I can do it, want to do it, am good at it, and how to go about things in the future, in terms of price, offerings, etc.

What does this have to do with UFOs? Not so much, as far as tarot cards go -- there are a few UFO themed decks out there, but that's another post for another time.  But, the reader who had his table next to mine - we were stuck out in the boonies, away from the booths -- well. Synchronicities abound. I had never met this person before. The only thing I knew was that we had a friend in common, who was also there with his wife, selling magickal items and jewelry in their booth. Aside from that, I didn't know anything about him. I have no idea what made me say to him, after knowing him for about three minutes:  "I've had some pretty interesting encounters, including missing time…" and we were off. Turns out this person has had his own history of missing time and UFO sightings. Not only here in Oregon, but back east as well.  Strange dreams involving UFOs and aliens, seeing an alien, unexplained marks on the body following sightings and missing time …

"Chris", as I'll call him, does not think of himself as an abductee. Something I share with him, since I don't consider myself an abductee.  I found this distinction interesting as well -- usually when I meet others with UFO experiences they are either very sure they have been abducted, having clear memories of such, or, don't think of themselves as abductees.

I told Chris of Mike Clelland's book The Messengers, and what he calls the "maybe" people. The "maybe" people are those of us with all kinds of weird UFO experiences, including in many cases missing time, but having no clear memory of an alien abduction scenario.

After a few hours, Chris went his way, I went mine. I don't know if we'll meet again. What were the odds of finding myself next to someone with so many similar experiences? What made me just blurt out that I've had missing time and have encountered many UFO events, going back to childhood?

"Prank" "occult" ritual at CERN. As Tim Binnall commented on Facebook when he posted this: "Holy fuck, this smells like Jack Parsons type shit."  It surely does.

A "permanent" statue of the Hindu deity Shiva sits outside at the facility. Shiva is the god of destruction, but that's simplistic. He is also the destroyer of ego. A bringer of change. Positive and "negative" aspects of things destroyed. (Think of the Death card in the tarot.) 

As a spokesperson for CERN said:


 “Cern does not condone this type of spoof, which can give rise to misunderstandings about the scientific nature of our work.”

Jim's Popcorn Machine UFO

In June of last year, I wrote about an experience Jim had when he was around ten or so. One of those dreams-that-aren't-dreams-but-we-tell-ourselves-they-were-dreams-encounters. 

When we were first together, Jim painted this watercolor the UFO he dreamt saw.

He gave the painting to a friend of his many years ago, and I recently was able to take a picture of it with my phone. 

I love this painting, not only for its personal and parallel connection with childhood and encounters, but the painting is reminiscent of all that great science fiction cover art from the 1950s and '60s.
