Nick Redfern's New Blog on Culture of Contact

Nick Redfern, Esoteric Blog King, has a new blog at Culture of Contact. Nick’s entry is: “My 3,2,1 of UFO Hatred,” which is very good. I had to laugh at Redfern's comments on the idea aliens are benevolent:
No. 2: The Aliens are our friends
Pleeeeez! No! Fuck Off!

That's to the point! I agree; why assume, even when we’re told by them (the alien guys) are benevolent? Beware the messenger; just because they say it’s so, doesn’t mean it is so.Anyway, (and I say this even though Vaeni didn’t ask me go join :) -- good blog post over there. Be sure to take a look.

Well, I think your new friend has some issues he should fix before commenting on the ET participation in our business.

And I quote: "...Oh, and before I forget: neither are bloody dolphins."

Whooooboy, where do I start to a comment like that?

First of all, Redfern isn't my "new friend" whatever the heck you're trying to imply there. Insinuation by sneering, eh? Not nice.

"Our business?" "OUR BUSINESS" ??!! Who is this "our" you speak of, and what, whose, "business?"

If it's one thing I dislike about this field it's the people who decide they get to decide; those who decide who gets to talk about their ideas, or experiences, what theories will be tolerated and what won't, and so on. (Skeptoids always excluded of course.)

What makes your experiences or theories any better, loftier, purer or what have you than mine? Or Redfern's? Or anyone, anyone at all, whose put themselves out there and decided, for some crazy reason, to stand up and say "this is what I think, this is what I've experienced?"

NOTHING, that's what. You are not any better or more qualified than anyone else. Either am I. Either is Redfern. Either is Jeremy Vaeni, or anyone else.

As long we are being authentic, telling the truth as we see it, that's good enough. You don't have to agree, of course not. You do not have the right to dictate to others whether they can say what they will about "our business." (That was damn funny!)

As to the "bloody dolphins" well, too bad. So is the fact Redfern doesn't like the blues. So what? I'm not going to crucify him for it.

(I took it to mean dolphins in the dolphins are our ET sea brethen or something, who knows, who cares.)

Well, I believe we put ourselves into this crap, and It's up to us do get out of it.

Any kind of high level intervention would only solve the issues temporarily before we go back to our old habits. That's in my opinion why they didn't intervene dramatically.

It's not like we have welcomed them properly anyway... first thing our military does is shoot at them...

Did I claim to have all the answers related to this phenomena? Definitively more qualified people that could answers this.
See Gordon Cooper, Fife Symington, Jimmy Carter, Colonel Phil Corso, Dr. Steven Greer, just to name a few...

Absolutely agree, and that’s why the idea the aliens are going to save us is nonsense. Whether or not they say they are, or will. My opinion is that the aliens are responsible for making sure the “crap” continues. Anyway, aliens or not, we are responsible for fixing things, not “them.”

Very likely. And, or, maybe “they” intervene in other ways; spiritually, more intimately, on an inner level.

Then again, if they supposedly know better, which of course is an assumption, they wouldn't be so petty and fix things for us anyway.

All this is speculation, which is useful as well as fun, but it isn't fact.

It's not like we have welcomed them properly anyway... first thing our military does is shoot at them...
Maybe. Probably pretty likely. We don’t KNOW for a fact however. But I wouldn’t be surprised.

Did I claim to have all the answers related to this phenomena?
No, but you sure as heck came across that way. And you belie your comment with the one below:

Er, “more qualified” than what? Than who?

Carter, Symingotn, Cooper, were witnesses, like many of us. They may know more and ain’t telling, they may know nothing, they may be full of it and are playing games with us. We’ll never know.

As to the rest you’re mentioned; same story.

They’re not the gods of UFOlogy, and neither are you, and neither am I.

Ah! The usual benevolent/malevolent ET debate. A totally disagree with the above statement. But I don't want to enter another bad/good ET Debate...

Er, then why did you bring it up?

And you forgot "indifferent."
