Musk Takes Twitter, FB Down and Covid Zombie

I can't help it; I find it an odd synchronicity that the same day Elon Musk took over Twitter (firing top execs one of his first edicts) Facebook is down. Another synchronicity, which is an eerie one for sure. A recent Paranormal Declassified episode, hosted by Paul Beban, filmed two years ago, investigated global "zombie" pandemics. Not movie zombies who stumble out of graves and eat the flesh of the living, but a virus of some kind. During this episode, Paranormal Declassified had to shut down. Because of Covid, which had just made its appearance on the world stage.

Also, zombie rabbits are a thing.  As are vampire bunnies. (the first in the series, Bunnicula, is my favorite.)

Art and the X-Files

I've been bingeing on X-Files lately. A feast! I've also been going through many of my art books, seeking inspiration. And found, to my surprise, The Art of the X-Files. Great find but have no memory of how I came to own this book. I don't remember, nor does my husband. Nothing mysterious here; no doubt, during my days as a folklore UFO nerd at the U of O, I purchased the book. Maybe it was a gift. Either way, nice discovery!

T.V. Show: La Brea

Unsolicited and no doubt un-asked-for T.V. review: La Brea.

Typical predictive, derivative, lame, hackneyed crap.

BUT,
I loved it! An admission of guilty pleausre/secret shame on my part. But I mean, it's La Brea Tar Pits! Where I hung out for years in my youth. Skipping school, hanging out, wandering the Art Museum for hours (and playing hide and seek with the security guards who thought I was a delinquent or youthful art theif. )

And things like wolves, and saber toothed tigers, and giant dino birds. Street signs in the sink hole, like, Curson Ave. Where I used to fucking live! You can't beat that! Have to love this throw back, shallow, insipid, lazy ass writing team not at all surprised THAT happened network TV show. Looking forward to episode two. (I mean, after all, my other secret shame/guilty pleasure is that I watch General Hospital.)

Don't judge me.
