Sunday Orb

Chemtrails
Recently chemtrails have been the topic around here. While I may mention them now and again, they are on my mind a lot. It can’t be helped; the things are up there almost on a daily basis.

Like many people, a few years ago I didn’t think about chemtrails much. I’d heard of them, as any esoterica buff would, but didn’t see what the controversy was. It all seemed too scientific and clinical in a vague way. But as I began to look both up to the skies and into the subject, I realized there was something going on. And it wasn’t (isn’t) just contrails.

I have yet to come across explanations -- satisfying explanations that make sense -- for: black beams shot out from near the nose of the plane. I’ve seen this twice. Plane going along; abruptly a beam of cloud or some substance comes shooting out from what appears to be the nose of the plane, or somewhere near the front.

The “explanations” offered by denialists have included such semantical nonsense as “I couldn’t possibly have seen a black beam since black isn’t a color,” “It was a shadow,” and of course, the old standby; I’m a liar.

I’ve seen white sky spheres -- machines -- moving slowly back and forth, in connection with the trails.

I’ve seen white, unmarked planes at extremely high altitudes, and speeds, leaving all kinds of trails behind.

I’ve seen trails that were thick, drippy, twirly, circular, X’s, elbowed or angled. I’ve seen huge squarish or rectangular shaped patches that stayed stuck in the same place in the sky for hours that were oily looking, with rainbow type colors. (The local paper called one of these a “natural phenomena” due to ice crystals. This on a hot July day, with lots of helicopter activity in the area a few days before and during.)

I think what Fortean author Colin Bennett has to say about this is excellent, and anyone even milady interested needs to read his article Chemtrails:A Fortean View.

Thanks to Cindy PDX for sharing her experiences and videos, and to everyone else, like Lesley of Debris Field, who also comments on the chemtrails in her area. Lesley of the Debris Field blog has also taken photos and video of weird things related to this.

There’s also all kinds of chemtrail forums out there, including the West Coast Chemtrails on Yahoo. Look to the menu on your right for the purple Yahoo sign up box.

Glowing Red Eyes
Kithra, who writes very well on weird things and folklore, wrote a piece on anomalous creatures with red glowing eyes. That inspired me to write about an experience I had with a being when I was a child. You can read about both on Women in Esoterica.

Native American Ancestry

There’s an idea that the majority of people with paranormal experiences and who study this field are Native American -- either enrolled in a tribe, or of that ancestry. (I’m Cherokee and Lenape.) I don’t know if this is true, and my little poll isn’t scientific in any way, but it’s interesting to see how it comes out. So far, those who’ve answered that they have Native ancestry are in the majority.

Bigfoot and Fairies

A relationship I’ve been interested in, and Lisa Shiel of Bigfoot Quest has an item on it. You can read more on my Bigfoot blog Frame 352.

The Great Gazoo Has Moved
I had a video clip stream going here of The Great Gazoo, the little green man from outer space from the Flintstones. I moved it over to Vintage UFO. Please take a look and leave comments. And if you have any unusual UFO related experiences you’d like to share that occurred before 1980, please E-Mail Me here.

The Almost Sphere, and Update from Portland, OR

Almost . . .
As we were leaving our house this evening to go to dinner (mmmm, birthday sushi!) I looked up at the heavily chemtrailed sky above me. And was a bit startled, because of the timing in the recent posts on the trials, to see an orange orb moving across the sky. I asked my husband if he saw it; not at first, but after a few moments he did. We watched it; an opaque darkish rust colored kind of orange making its way towards us, going over our heads, our house. . . and then we realized. It was a balloon. Still, a brief moment of slightly spooky synchronicity -- and the trickster laughing at the joke.

Update From Cindy PDX
On another note, read the recent comment from Cindy PDX, who lives in the Portland, Oregon area, and has been observing the heavy chemtrail activity there:
Regan, This is not a very good video, but wanted to show what I tried to tape on Oct 31st 2007 regarding purposely made CIRCLE / loopy contrails over SE Portland, Oregon.
I've lived here all my life, and NEVER have I seen so many loopy loops, circles and curved contrails - in a 2 hour time frame. I posted more info about the event on BoT under the UFO topic under the thread called : "Chemtrails - full force Again".

I uploaded this video on DailyMotion HERE
as well as on Youtube HERE

Someone saw my vid and sent me an email saying HE SAW THE SAME THING going on in SEASIDE, OR the same day! I thought it was the day before but he saw it the same day!

**sorry for the few cuss words in the video, but I was really shocked about what I was watching**

Mind you I live VERY close to PDX Airport - so I am positive this was not some Air show. And these were not caused by the wind because I caught them in the ACT of making them. They were either lost, wasting gas, or SPRAYING US.

To top that off, TODAY, Nov 3rd 2007 while outside in my yard, I see a few contrails in a straight path against the brilliant blue sky. However, some contrails made "X's" and I'll be d@mned! I watched / observed yet another WHITE SMALL SPHERE hovering above the one X contrail for close to 20 minutes! I could see it with my eyes, and found it in the binoculars, but only caught a few frames of it on video. It doesn't prove much but at least I know I was not seeing things. AND to top things off this white sphere was VERY similar to the TWO Spheres I watched for close to 30 minutes back on May 30 2007.

If you blink, you could lose sight of it or you may find it suddenly in a different spot within a blink of an eye. They hover and are very still. I rarely see them move - I see clouds or contrails move along but NOT these spheres.
They can go so easily undetected - I said it before, and I'll say it again.. they are VERY elusive lil' buggers! What they are, I have NO clue. Are they OURS or THEIRS?

That last question: ours or theirs -- is a good one. Who is “theirs” anyway? Like the black triangles, chemtrials are a mystery all right. The logical and rational answer is that they’re “ours.” Even so, there are some strange things that don’t add up. Both are global phenomena, both seem to defy known technologies, etc., there’s a large human force behind the manipulation of these events, air space legalities and human subject laws are at issue; all just for starters. None of these things negates the likelihood that they’re “ours” but it makes it all that much stranger.

Here are the links Cindy PDX mentions in her post:

I’ve seen these circular ones as well; not very often, but I have seen them. Also ones that are “elbowed,” X’s, etc.

West Coast Chemtrails Forum

There’s a forum dedicated to chemtrail activity on the West Coast (and everywhere) on Yahoo. It’s actually one I started a few years ago but turned it over to a new moderator, “mirakulu” who is doing a very good job. Lots of activity over there. The link is on the menu on your right; look for Yahoo forums, West Coast Chemtrails.

Non-extraordinary Reactions to Extraordinary Things

Regardless of the cause behind the UFOs, the fact is the UFOs exist, and we have every right to talk about our observations and experiences.

That's a quote from me. Yes, I'm quoting myself. My recent piece on UFO Digest, on the orb/UFO sighting of the Lafuers in Albany, Oregon and chronic skeptics.

Orbs and Objects in Oregon

A big thank you to Cindy PDX who sent me the links to this story out of Albany, Oregon. A couple saw two "bullet shaped" UFOs that separated, and an orange orb appear very close to their property that gave off sparks.Sounds similar in many ways to what I saw here in Oregon many years ago, though it didn't give off sparks.

A few people in this area have also seen things like this through the years. And a source I have has told me the that the Camp Creek area in the Springfield region (the town over from Eugene) has a history of orange orbs. Sali Sheppard-Wolford, author of Valley of the Skookum, writes of orange orbs in Oregon and Washington.

What's as interesting to me as the story are some of the comments left by readers. Some readers have had similar experiences through the years. Yet others find the story not real news and pointless.

Referring to NUFORC's suggestion to the witness to contact the media about the sighting, a poster calling himself "What" comments:
"And obviously she followed up on the suggestion to contact the media. D-H, is this really newsworthy?"

Well, yes, it is "newsworthy" -- strange objects, orbs emitting sparks on your property. The question isn't if it's newsworthy -- it's: "Why do you think it isn't?"
Another poster going by "ChadT" remarks:
"
Come on Democrat Herald.. front page news? You could not find a better story than this? Do a story on a local teacher going out of their way to influence our kids.. or a local war hero.. or why the most unemployed county in the state fights big employers that might be coming here.. jeez
"

I don't get this type of "logic." If I write about scrambled eggs, does that mean I don't care about war, poverty, children's issues, or if Sonny and Carly are going to get back together on General Hospital?

Okay, not the best example. But this kind of ho hum, why are you boring us routine from those who don't even bother to debunk or scoff; they respond with a big yawn and ignore the weird lights and orbs over their heads. . . I don't get it.

I find this reaction -- or non-reaction-- particularly odd in these post 9/11 days. Homeland Security, terror alerts and scales; if there are weird things flying over your property, wouldn't you be concerned? Interested, at least? The conclusion these UFOs are ET is an assumption, and some may go there right away, but not everyone, including me. Man made, military, or even, if it turns out, a hoax or someone's remote controlled toy. Fine. Until one knows however, to display such indifference borders on the pathological.

Cindy has seen her own orange orb UFO, and she has very kindly given me permission to use that information for a future UFO Magazine article on Oregon's Orange Orbs.
