Sign in Van

On our walk today, we took a slightly different route. I almost always have my camera with me, but I didn't today. Wish I had thought to bring it! We passed by a parked van on the street, in the rear window was a hand lettered sign that read (the best I recall from memory):

Chemtrails! Google it! Look up, watch the skies!
And a little drawing of an airplane with a white plume coming out of it.
I'll see if it's still there tomorrow and if it is, take a photo.

Oregon Coast: Bird Omens, Sky Weirdness

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday on the Oregon coast. While there, took photos on the beach. Was privileged to see a pelican hovering, swooping and fishing the sea for food. Among all the gulls, one lone pelican. I've seen pelicans before of course, but usually they're in a flock, just sitting around. This was the first time I'd seen one going solo (no other pelicans in sight) and so active.

We saw another odd thing: several dead birds on this same beach. Not unusual to see a dead bird or two on the sand; we often see that. But this time, there were five dead birds; four gulls, one crow, all in a curved line, about five feet apart from each other. (And later, we had to swerve to avoid hitting a gull that just wouldn't fly off; it was on the highway, pecking away at a gull carcass. On the way back, we saw what we assumed was the once live gull, now dead by the side of the road, near the bird corpse it was cannibalizing earlier. This about a quarter mile from the place on the beach where we saw the dead birds.)

When I uploaded the photos of the gulls and pelican, I noticed this weird "object" -- I don't know if it's a camera/computer glitch, or something that was really there in the sky. From a distance, without zooming in, the object appears different than the birds; sharper. It's pixalated and becomes more so as I zoom in. We didn't notice anything odd when we were out there, but then again, we were watching the pelican. I get the feeling that it's an object, and probably man made (not an alien/outer space UFO, but some kind of military object.)

The sharp, dark object just about in the upper middle of the photo: glitch or object?

There were weird electrical glitches during that trip, including one odd thing with the camera earlier the day before. I went to turn off the camera, and vertical colored stripes appeared, and a strobing effect. Then it turned off; but seemed fine after that. No problem since. Object in the sky, or camera glitch?

I had hoped to explore Stonefield Beach, which, according to local lore, is a hotspot of weirdness, including UFOs and aliens. But when we drove down the drive we found this:

Stonefield Beach Park closed. (Blobs aren't aliens or ghosts, just raindrops :)
(Stonefield Beach is roughly eight miles from the beach near the Silver Surf motel discussed earlier.)

Today's Chemtrail Synchronicity:It's a Bit Eerie

It's June. Summer, school's out, warm-hot days, etc. But things are askew here in Eugene, Oregon. The school I work for, a public school, is on an alternative schedule; we don't get out until July 1, and the days here this June have been cold, rainy, strange indeed. The past few days however have been June like: hot. And all under a chemtrail laden sky.

Today and yesterday were particularly bad; tons of chemtrails in the skies. And not just straight ones, but criss crosses, loops, half circles. And a huge "chembow" around the sun today at about 1:00 pm. Yesterday gave us a sky fulll of trails, and patches of iridescent oily patches.

We've seen the chem bows before, and we've seen the oily rainbow bits as well. Not too often, but there.

Today the trails came out early, squashing hope of a blue sky, as the morning promised. Soon the sky was littered with the trails. And by 4:00 pm the sky had gone from blue and sunny with a few clouds, to a glazed milky haze that covered the sky, going from hot to muggy.

TALKIN' 'BOUT CHEMTRAILS
At work, outside, and three of us (and another adult nearby but out of ear shot, I assume. . .) discussing all the weird stuff up there, particularly the chembow. Someone thought it was because "it's the first day of summer." They hadn't heard of chemtrails; both asked me what I meant when I said that. I just told them to Google it. At least they looked up, and had noticed the weirdness, and even commented on the weirdness. One person said they don't look up much, and that anything could be going on up there, they don't think about it. I'm paraphrasing but that was the sense of it.

(With these kinds of perceptions and responses to what's right above us, it's not surprising the government can blithely get away spraying that stuff right over our heads.)

STRANGE E-MAIL
So I go inside, on break, check my e-mail. And find an e-mail from someone who said they read one of my "blog postings" about chemtrails They also live in Eugene, and commented on the chemtrails, including the chembow. Indeed, he or she called it a chembow.

What's even stranger is that the e-mail was sent at the same time (1:00 pm) I was outside with the others, looking at sky, talking about the trails. Pretty eerie!

Reminds me of the stories of people discussing crop circles and then go out to find, later that day, or the next day, a crop circles in the very spot they were discussing, etc.

Chemtrail Connections

Are chemtrails "spiritual?" Victoria Hardy thinks so. Whatever you think about that, chemtrails exist, and people are astoundingly apathetic. What are chemtrials, and why the apathy?

Chemtrails exist, and this isn’t a piece about proving how they do exist, or debating, debunking, or anything else. They exist. They’re not “just contrails.” Like UFOs, they are. What they are -- and what they’re not -- is the question.

Over the years, as I explore the chemtrail mystery, I’ve come across some odd connections people have made, including myself, about the chemtrails.
Who would have thought to put chemtrails and Forteana together? But that’s exactly what Colin Bennett did in his excellent piece Chemtrails: A Fortean View
A New Look at a Mystery of the Skies :Chemtrails: What's Going On?
(January 22 2005. By Colin Bennett)

I wrote a piece about chemtrails and black triangles; suggesting that some of the behaviors of the phenomena, and the mindset of observers as well as skeptics and researchers, are similar.

Victoria Hardy has made another connection, one that I hadn’t considered, in her article on American Chronicle; The Spiritual Nature of Chemtrail Belief. Don’t let the title turn you off; while I don’t agree with Hardy on that one point, which we’ll get to later, she has written a good article on chemtrails, and the apathy surrounding these things literally right above our heads.

When reading the title, I thought “Well, I don’t think UFOs are “spiritual” either (although there’s that element in all paranormal things) and I sure don’t see anything spiritual in chemtrails” but I read on.

Hardy describes the first time she realized something wasn’t right up there in our increasingly milky skies:
As I have stated previously from the first time I noticed a trail being unleashed across the sky my mind shifted into metaphysical thinking and looking back, it felt like I was witnessing a blurring of realities. As I stood in the yard that day, rather stunned, I felt an instinctual grip of fear in my belly and the sure knowledge that what I was witnessing was simply not right. And in the first weeks of my newfound awareness I couldn't´t help but wonder why others were not standing on the streets and pointing out the aberration. And even now, despite the trails showing up on commercials and television shows and despite the myriad of explanations, my mind still refuses to budge from the idea that the writing in the sky is telling us something important, something spiritual.

Exactly! I agree with everything she’s said, except for that last bit about “the sky is telling us something important, something spiritual.” But I am continually astounded at the lack of interest by the majority in what’s right above their heads. (They literally don’t see! Maybe, in some round about way, that is metaphysical.)

But the trails themselves as some kind of spiritual signage, akin to crop circles? I can’t go there.

Hardy however can, and does:
But for me, I believe we are seeing the signs spoken of by the ancient prophets.
Victoria writes that we’ve been taught since birth to trust authorities, not to question; no one would argue with that. I don’t see chemtrails as “signs spoken of by the ancient prophets” however
.

Hardy has experienced what I have as well, when I was naive and silly enough to think you could actually have an authentic discussion with skeptics. Like her, I’ve been accused of intentionally panicking people. (Imagine dahlings! Me!):
Over the years I´I've heard chemtrail believers referred to as insane, ignorant or deliberately trying to instill fear in others and many months ago I created a survey attempting to understand the common thread that connects those who feel undeniable concern when witnessing the webs dripping in our skies

Victoria Hardy has done some research into those who “believe” (though I dislike that word when it comes to chemtrails, just as I do when it comes to UFOs) and her results are interesting. I’m not going to reiterate them here; I encourage you to read her article. There’s interesting information like religious beliefs, education, UFO witnesses, etc. but I found this personally interesting:
Many spoke of sadness, depression, fear and shock and several mentioned questioning their sanity because those around them did not seem concerned. A couple reported losing friends after speaking out about the subject.

Hardy asked individuals what they thought the purpose of chemtrails were; many responses, but this was caught my eye:
Several believed that the trails in the sky create a perfect backdrop for holographic imagery and will be used in Project Blue Beam.

That never occurred to me And, it’s not one I believe, although I do believe there has been, and will be, all kinds of things up with Project Blue Beam. I just found it interesting many do think this in relation to chemtrails.

While I don’t personally see the chemtrails as literal signs in the sky in relation to ancient prophecies, I enjoyed reading Hardy’s article, and appreciate her efforts in doing her own small research to add to the data. It’s always encouraging to come across others who look up, and really see what’s there, and actively wonder about what it is they're seeing.

What Chemtrails Really Are

I saw this on Jeff Rense.com, also noticed Lesley at Debris Field posted the link: What Chemtrails Really Are. It’s not pretty, and the mind control part gives me the creeps. One question: how does this person know any of this for a fact? Or even a strong hypothesis? No sources, no anything. . . only strong opinions, presented as factual. Lots of connections made, lots of knowledge on related things, and it could be, but we don’t know.

Whatever it is, meanwhile, the spraying continues.

Weather Modification

A bit clinical and not any of that fun juicy esoterica stuff but it’s worth reading for the facts of the thing:
EXPERIMENTAL WEATHER MODIFICATION COMING TO YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, SOON by Rosalind Peterson.

Bills on weather modification -- and it’s more than just making it rain more so the crops can grow.

The article addresses two new bills that don't answer to any oversight committees ... and mentions that there are over fifty weather modification programs in the U.S. right now. Peterson also mentions Dyn a mat, the company that can stop hurricanes.

Like UFOs, though of course there’s always a danger of sending this into kook land whenever one uses UFOs in the same arena as anything else, chemtrails are here. Look up! What they are, why they are -- those are other questions.

Some things I have no patience for, and don’t bother arguing, debating or “discussing” -- UFOs are one, chemtrails are another. Before I decide to expend my energy with another on these topics, we have to, at the very least, agree that they exist in the first place.

By the way, I’m not suggesting UFOs have anything to do with chemtrails, so don’t go there. (Although they share similarities, more of which I’ll write on later.)

It gets down to this: there are things up there that shouldn’t be, and they’re doing things they shouldn’t be doing.

As always, I refer you as well to Colin Bennett’s article
Chemtrails: A Fortean View on the topic of chemtrails.

Sunday Orb

Chemtrails
Recently chemtrails have been the topic around here. While I may mention them now and again, they are on my mind a lot. It can’t be helped; the things are up there almost on a daily basis.

Like many people, a few years ago I didn’t think about chemtrails much. I’d heard of them, as any esoterica buff would, but didn’t see what the controversy was. It all seemed too scientific and clinical in a vague way. But as I began to look both up to the skies and into the subject, I realized there was something going on. And it wasn’t (isn’t) just contrails.

I have yet to come across explanations -- satisfying explanations that make sense -- for: black beams shot out from near the nose of the plane. I’ve seen this twice. Plane going along; abruptly a beam of cloud or some substance comes shooting out from what appears to be the nose of the plane, or somewhere near the front.

The “explanations” offered by denialists have included such semantical nonsense as “I couldn’t possibly have seen a black beam since black isn’t a color,” “It was a shadow,” and of course, the old standby; I’m a liar.

I’ve seen white sky spheres -- machines -- moving slowly back and forth, in connection with the trails.

I’ve seen white, unmarked planes at extremely high altitudes, and speeds, leaving all kinds of trails behind.

I’ve seen trails that were thick, drippy, twirly, circular, X’s, elbowed or angled. I’ve seen huge squarish or rectangular shaped patches that stayed stuck in the same place in the sky for hours that were oily looking, with rainbow type colors. (The local paper called one of these a “natural phenomena” due to ice crystals. This on a hot July day, with lots of helicopter activity in the area a few days before and during.)

I think what Fortean author Colin Bennett has to say about this is excellent, and anyone even milady interested needs to read his article Chemtrails:A Fortean View.

Thanks to Cindy PDX for sharing her experiences and videos, and to everyone else, like Lesley of Debris Field, who also comments on the chemtrails in her area. Lesley of the Debris Field blog has also taken photos and video of weird things related to this.

There’s also all kinds of chemtrail forums out there, including the West Coast Chemtrails on Yahoo. Look to the menu on your right for the purple Yahoo sign up box.

Glowing Red Eyes
Kithra, who writes very well on weird things and folklore, wrote a piece on anomalous creatures with red glowing eyes. That inspired me to write about an experience I had with a being when I was a child. You can read about both on Women in Esoterica.

Native American Ancestry

There’s an idea that the majority of people with paranormal experiences and who study this field are Native American -- either enrolled in a tribe, or of that ancestry. (I’m Cherokee and Lenape.) I don’t know if this is true, and my little poll isn’t scientific in any way, but it’s interesting to see how it comes out. So far, those who’ve answered that they have Native ancestry are in the majority.

Bigfoot and Fairies

A relationship I’ve been interested in, and Lisa Shiel of Bigfoot Quest has an item on it. You can read more on my Bigfoot blog Frame 352.

The Great Gazoo Has Moved
I had a video clip stream going here of The Great Gazoo, the little green man from outer space from the Flintstones. I moved it over to Vintage UFO. Please take a look and leave comments. And if you have any unusual UFO related experiences you’d like to share that occurred before 1980, please E-Mail Me here.

The Almost Sphere, and Update from Portland, OR

Almost . . .
As we were leaving our house this evening to go to dinner (mmmm, birthday sushi!) I looked up at the heavily chemtrailed sky above me. And was a bit startled, because of the timing in the recent posts on the trials, to see an orange orb moving across the sky. I asked my husband if he saw it; not at first, but after a few moments he did. We watched it; an opaque darkish rust colored kind of orange making its way towards us, going over our heads, our house. . . and then we realized. It was a balloon. Still, a brief moment of slightly spooky synchronicity -- and the trickster laughing at the joke.

Update From Cindy PDX
On another note, read the recent comment from Cindy PDX, who lives in the Portland, Oregon area, and has been observing the heavy chemtrail activity there:
Regan, This is not a very good video, but wanted to show what I tried to tape on Oct 31st 2007 regarding purposely made CIRCLE / loopy contrails over SE Portland, Oregon.
I've lived here all my life, and NEVER have I seen so many loopy loops, circles and curved contrails - in a 2 hour time frame. I posted more info about the event on BoT under the UFO topic under the thread called : "Chemtrails - full force Again".

I uploaded this video on DailyMotion HERE
as well as on Youtube HERE

Someone saw my vid and sent me an email saying HE SAW THE SAME THING going on in SEASIDE, OR the same day! I thought it was the day before but he saw it the same day!

**sorry for the few cuss words in the video, but I was really shocked about what I was watching**

Mind you I live VERY close to PDX Airport - so I am positive this was not some Air show. And these were not caused by the wind because I caught them in the ACT of making them. They were either lost, wasting gas, or SPRAYING US.

To top that off, TODAY, Nov 3rd 2007 while outside in my yard, I see a few contrails in a straight path against the brilliant blue sky. However, some contrails made "X's" and I'll be d@mned! I watched / observed yet another WHITE SMALL SPHERE hovering above the one X contrail for close to 20 minutes! I could see it with my eyes, and found it in the binoculars, but only caught a few frames of it on video. It doesn't prove much but at least I know I was not seeing things. AND to top things off this white sphere was VERY similar to the TWO Spheres I watched for close to 30 minutes back on May 30 2007.

If you blink, you could lose sight of it or you may find it suddenly in a different spot within a blink of an eye. They hover and are very still. I rarely see them move - I see clouds or contrails move along but NOT these spheres.
They can go so easily undetected - I said it before, and I'll say it again.. they are VERY elusive lil' buggers! What they are, I have NO clue. Are they OURS or THEIRS?

That last question: ours or theirs -- is a good one. Who is “theirs” anyway? Like the black triangles, chemtrials are a mystery all right. The logical and rational answer is that they’re “ours.” Even so, there are some strange things that don’t add up. Both are global phenomena, both seem to defy known technologies, etc., there’s a large human force behind the manipulation of these events, air space legalities and human subject laws are at issue; all just for starters. None of these things negates the likelihood that they’re “ours” but it makes it all that much stranger.

Here are the links Cindy PDX mentions in her post:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3csq1_wth-are-they-spraying-oct-31-2007

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxnyr9SeZ-4

I’ve seen these circular ones as well; not very often, but I have seen them. Also ones that are “elbowed,” X’s, etc.

West Coast Chemtrails Forum

There’s a forum dedicated to chemtrail activity on the West Coast (and everywhere) on Yahoo. It’s actually one I started a few years ago but turned it over to a new moderator, “mirakulu” who is doing a very good job. Lots of activity over there. The link is on the menu on your right; look for Yahoo forums, West Coast Chemtrails.

Entering Trickster Fortean Land: Orbs in the Skies

Curious about the white orb or sphere like objects I’ve seen twice now, I did an internet search. Nothing deep or terribly scientific, just an idle Google here and there on “weather climate control monitoring objects orbs” just to see what would turn up. I did “images” figuring if I saw something close to what I’d seen, I could look further.

About the orb (s) I’d seen. They weren’t orbs in the ghostly lights spirit energy see through “orbs” but solid, real machines. Both times I saw them in relation to chemtrails. I have no idea if they had anything to do with the trials or not, but that was the setting. I saw them both during the day, about three weeks apart, and in the same location; right in the skies above my home. Both times there was a witness present.

We (we being my spouse and myself) thought it was some kind of monitoring device; to track weather, something like that. Maybe to gather data due to chemtrail activity, maybe something else.

Over the past couple of years I’ve come across a few photos of similar looking objects, and in similar situations. So something is up there, doing something.

I found a similar photo again during my search that linked over to Mac Tonnies Post Human Blues blog, but every time I clicked on the link, it froze. Then I found this at the bottom of the Google image page:
In response to a legal request submitted to Google, we have removed 2 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read more about the request at here.

Things get stranger. I did a search for "orbs sky eugene oregon" and found this link. Scroll down a bit to “Alpehnhorn News Links Illness With Yellow Chemclouds, and click on photo. That’ll take you to more and a “click here for full story” which takes you briefly to what looks like a forum page and then -- whoosh -- a screen pops up in black with red lettering that the site’s been hacked by a Turkish terrorist group. Or anti-terrorist group. I don’t know what it’s about.
So okay then; we’ve entered the realm of trickster fortean land.

This morning I checked Lesley’s Debris Field, and find this. It’s not what I saw -- not white, nor sphere shaped -- but there have been a lot of things seen in the skies lately and in connection (seemingly) with mundane jets and trials, as well as the not so mundane trials.

Much closer to home, I found this on Rense.com. I did a search on his site: orbs chemtrails, and found this article from August of 2000 about trails and orbs. Photo accompanies report.

What does it all mean? I have no idea; though there are a lot of possibilities of course. They could be true so-called ‘ET UFOs,” plain old UFOs (well, they are that) simply man made objects to monitor effects of trials, or the weather, spy bots, who knows. Someone knows of course, but it isn’t any of us.

For those of us looking up and taking photos of these things, it’s data, and we know what we saw. It’s maybe not so surprising I guess that if you make the concentrated effort to look up all the time -- really look up -- you’ll see all kinds of things up there that, ostensibly, shouldn’t be there.

New Trickster's Realm on BoA

The new TR - my column Trickster's Realm - is up at Binnall of America. This week's column shares stories of not only a haunted house, but a haunted road. The whole area itself seems to be haunted, from the cemetery at one end, to the Indian (yes, cliche) burial grounds at the other end. Furthermore, the question of hauntings and other weirdness following a family is posed.

While you're over there reading TR, be sure to check out all the great material on Binall of America: Lesley's Grey Matters, among others.

Sunday Round Up of Self Promotion

A few new things at my Bigfoot blog Frame 352.

And at Mating Hedgehogs.

Not much elsewhere, the new UFO Magazine isn't yet out, but should be soon. Look for my article on Daniel Fry, as well as all the other great articles that will be available.

I'll be in Los Angeles beginning Thursday; family wedding. I'll have my laptop but don't know how much writing I'll get done.

However, I am working a lot of various things, as always, including something on chemtrails, referencing Colin Bennett's article on the subject,(Chemtrails and UFOs) for example. My trip to Los Angeles should prove interesting regarding chemtrails. Also: UFO Semantics, or the Semantics of UFOs, something like that. It's a lost cause but I get annoyed and rant about it anyway. You can't "believe in" UFOs, UFOs are not aliens, UFOs do indeed exist, etc. The most convulted "reasoning" about this was a thread on the JREF (James Randi forum) -- something about why are UFOs considered "paranormal?" Nothing of the Trickster like events within many UFO events, or any of that, but a surreal post about extraterrestrials could be out there, but UFOs aren't, no one's proven UFOs exist, ... I dunno. Is it just me?
