Fortean Type Hospital Experiences

One could say just being in the hospital is weird enough. Especially after spending two weeks in, then a week and a half out, then back in again for another stay of a week. Thankfully, spouse is better than ever all the hell he's been through and things are looking good.

While there -- I spent the nights there with him, as most of each day -- two odd things happened.

The first: deja vu. I had at least three distinct cases of deja vu. I haven't experienced deja vu in a couple of years, at least. It was something I experienced all the time as a child, up into my teens, and then occasionally as an adult.  It was both unnerving and kind of neat in a strange way.

The second event involved tarot cards. While staying in the hospital with my husband, I would dash home to take care of the house, then rush back to the hospital. As I was leaving the house one day, I had the urge to bring a deck of tarot cards with me. I usually carry a mini-sized deck with me but wasn't during that time, and anyway, I felt the urge to bring a larger deck with me.

So I picked up my Tarot Wonderland deck and left.

Later that day, a CNA came in and mentioned the tarot. I said "Speaking of tarot," and pulled out my deck. She said to me "I knew you were all about that, I could tell by looking at you, that's why I mentioned it." She asked if I could give her a reading, which I did. And we had a nice conversation about sage and candles.

I don't know what it is about me that has some people just know I'm "all about tarot" but there you go.

Media and The Death Card (And a Killing Eve Spoiler Alert)

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT: KILLING EVE

I loved, with a passion Killing Eve. Did not read the novels, but from the beginning, was hooked on the BBC television series. LOVED it.

The last episode, a character gives a tarot reading. A three card reading. All three cards are Major Arcana. Okay. Hmm. As usual in entertainment, the DEATH card is the last card. Cue panicked looks, dramatic music, lots of doom vibes.

The DEATH card does not mean literal death. But as usual, for dramatic purposes, it always means death with a capitol D in movies and television. (We can say it represents rebirth, the shedding of old ways and into the new, but not dying a horrible death run over by a bus while in stage 4 after being bit by a venomous snake with no known antidote.)

And sure enough. . .

Oh hell, I can't say it. But it sucked.

Dreaming of the "Heart Card"

As I wrote in the post below, (Mermaids in the Astral) you'd think I had indulged in a healthy amount of magic mushrooms last night. I don't know what my subconscious was doing, but clearly, it was having a good time.

So, aside from the dream where I was a mermaid with a lovely shimmering golden tail, I also dreamt about the tarot:

I am doing a reading for my niece, using my newest deck, the Dark Forest Tarot, which is another version of the Waite Rider Coleman tarot.  I tell my niece I like this deck a lot but it's a little darker than I expected. What attracted me to the deck was the sepia, toned down "darkness" but when I received the deck (complete with box and red velvet bag, groovy!) it was a bit darker than I expected. Still, I really like the deck.

I use the layout, or most of what I remember of the layout, of Dr. Art Rosengarten's Tarot of the Future: Raising Spiritual Consciousness."  What I remember is that the first card represents what the client thinks is going on,  what it feels like. The second card tells us what is really going on, on a deeper level. I don't remember the third card, so I create my own interpretation. The third card tells us what path to take to remain in a positive light.

The important thing about the third card is that the reader needs to place the "Heart Card" first, and then the tarot card partially touching the Heart Card.

All this takes place in a hut like room, where I live. It's painted turquoise. It's on the side of a rural type road. People come inside all day for readings. One day I find, as I'm shuffeling the cards, yellow cards mixed in with the deck. The are oriented horizontally, the long way, which is odd. They are a bright yellow, not pretty. And strange sigil like markings on the cards. No words, title, numbers or symbols. A few of the cards had a faint impression of a Major Arcana card, but you had to look closely to see it.

I don't like these cards. They're ugly, and there's an uncomfortable feeling about the cards orientation. I have no idea how these cards got here, but I have a strong sense of a presence -- for lack of a better way to describe, angelic -- has something to do with this. And yet, it's not a malevolent vibe or anything negative. Just something odd and uncomfortable.

Many Green Eyed Cat, Animal Spirit Oracles, and Mango

Mango, my cat.

Yesterday I rearranged my altar space. I realized my tarot decks, oracles, stones and crystals, and other magickal objects were scattered all over. Many in the room of doom, er, room of possibilities (thank you Karyn Dolan) that we are in the process of redoing.

I set up a lovely but crowded table in the bedroom full of stones, etc. and underneath the table, a basket full of tarot decks. Next to the that, on the floor, a basket with my oracle decks, many of them animal oracles, like the Animal Spirits deck, Natives, Druid, etc.

I had a strange dream last night:

I'm walking on a busy sidewalk; it has to do with the school but also, just people not connected to the School. Sort of a combination of school and grocery store. I see a beautiful kitten on the ground. It has the markings of a bengal cat (domestic) and also, like a cloud leopard. It is simply a stunningly beautiful animal! And it has the most brilliant green eyes!

I worry though. Something seems wrong with the cat. It has trouble walking. (my cat Mango has trouble walking; he walks with a weird gait due to past injuries, including being attacked by a pit bull. Somehow, Mango managed to escape from the bastard's mouth.) I pick up the cat, so sweet! But am put off by what I notice: it has three eyes! The third eye is not in the third eye place, it's above it's left eye. Weird. Almost disgusting, but not quite.

A veterinarian walks by. He says he will treat the cat for free, and, that the eyes are not a problem. It looks weird, he agrees, but nothing to worry about. It doesn't affect the cat's health or vision in any way. I look closer and see yet another eye just beginning to get larger above the third one!

I try to get passers by to take the cat, but everyone says they don't have the time, or money, to get involved. So I end up with this cat, even though I wonder if it will survive.

Sometime during the night I heard a weird scrambling sound. Mango, my cat, usually sleeps on our bed. But this sound was coming from the closet area, and where the little altar table is. I found that Mango had managed to get himself into the basket I had full of animal oracles. (At least it wasn't the tarot cards.) He spent the whole night there. It didn't seem like it'd be comfortable; all those hard cardboard little boxes full of cards (a few in pouches) still, he seemed happy.

A Question About Abduction Regression Leads To . . .

I asked Lon Strickler yesterday if he knew if a certain psychic could do a regression on me regarding my missing time incident. He told me that this person doesn’t do that type of work. I’m not sure what prompted me to ask him that; it was a spontaneious moment. I replied that I do have a contact locally for someone that does that type of work, so I will contact them.

I told my spouse about this last night, as we were sitting on our porch, enjoying the early evening and nice breeze. Again, I’m not sure why I mentioned it.

Then last night, I had the following dream:

I’m in one of my recurring dream-scapes. This is the one where the elementary school is two stories, and I alwasy get lost. After assisting in the third grade classrooms upstairs, I am schedled to go downstairs to the second grade classroom. But I always hate this, becuae I always get lost. Other staff doesn’t get lost, why is it always just me? There are two staircases, and, elevators. One stairway, one elevator, takes you to the classrooms. The others . . . well, a dead end. And you can never find your way back in.

No matter how hard I try to remember, write down directions, etc. I always get the wrong one, and get lost. Same today. And so, of course, I am not only late for my classroom, but never do get there. On my way trying to figure out which stairs to take, which direction to go, the principal comes down the hall. She says good morning, thank god. I was afraid she was going to ask me what was I doing. Then again, I think to myself, I only have a week to go and then I retire. (In reality, I retired this spring.)

I finanlly choose an elevator, get off, and take a stairway, and damn it!! Again. No idea where I am. Can’t get back in. I start walking, very strange underground garage kind of place but no cars. Dust and concrete and pipes. A large man is stumbling around, he is bleeding and seems very confused, dazed. Another man -- I have the impression he’s a doctor of some kind -- is trying to get rid of this man. He’s telling the man that yes, he’s been abducted, and yes, it’s over for now, just keep going, keep going, you’ll be okay, don’t say anything, etc.

             Actor Christopher Plummer.

I am afraid. I know that I too have been abducted. This doctor sees me and refuses to talk with me. I tell him I now know where I am, sort of. That it has somehting to do with “them” and abductions. He pretends he doesn’t know what I’m talking about. Then I get really angry. “Well, at least tell me how to get back to the school!” He won’t. Tells me I have to figure it out for myself.

A friend of mine; sister? Not sure. She’s here. We’re now walking around, lost, wandering in and out of very dim rooms. It’s daylight but hard to see. A tall man comes out (Christopher Plumber, don’t ask me why all these movie stars are in my dreams lately) is not human. He looks human, but it’s a disguse. He attacks us for trying to find out things. Why are we here, where are we, how to get back, what happened to the man who said he was abducted, why it is a secret, was I abducted, what is GOING ON?!

He refuses to answer and is angry to be asked.

Somehow, we get away. Not back to teh school but out of this dim, underground type of place. At least we’re out in the open now.

Ah, the underworld. A sort of Alice in Wonderland dream. Down that rabbit hole for sure.

Secrets. Things Not To Be Known. Keepers of those secrets.

Why?

It’s as if some dreams are one giant tarot card that is to be interpreted.

Fringe Implosions

Strange things going on in not only UFO Land, but the realm of the fringe as well.

We had the racist, sexist comments from John Ventre, the MUFON state director, as well as the initial apathetic reaction from MUFON itself.

Stan Romanek, UFO alien witness, or, alien gray in the window hoaxer, has been charged with being in possession of child pornography.

Sean David Morton busted for tax fraud.

David Paulides, author of the Missing 411 books, has upset many with his prima donna act, as well as, according to some, his research methods. (I had my own little drama with him and I regret being a nice girl and giving into his demands.)

And the latest: New Age angel and tarot writer Doreen Virtue has become born again in the Christian faith, and has turned against the tarot, and other oracles, as sinful occult tools.  (I will write more on Virtue on my tarot blog.)

None of this is really a surprise. This metaphysical field -- and I include UFOs in that term -- has always had its share of the dishonest, child molesters (look at all the would be cult leader guru types; a large percentage are either horny jerks, or pedophiles), frauds and egomaniacs.

Because of this truth, none of these areas, including UFOs, will be taken seriously -- respectfully -- by mainstream culture, including its institutions.

It's up to us to denounce these fools, creeps and cheaters because no one else will. Instead, these fools, creeps and cheaters will be held up to the mainstream as justification for mockery and marginlization.

These sad, cheesy events do not negate the reality of UFOs, angels, the tarot, spirits, remote viewing, or conspiracies and strange disappearances. So we need to keep exposing the dishonest (and not keep fighting amongst ourselves about what's worthy of investigation, and what isn't.) Some of the individuals involved are to be tossed out, obviously --tossed, shown up, exposed, and not tolerated -- but it's important we don't, as the saying goes, throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Airships and Moon: Steampunk Tarot

I received a steampunk tarot deck for my birthday. These two cards fit in well with what the Orb is all about: Ace of Airships, and Moon Voyage.

Glowing Eyed Annunaki

Marshall Klarfeld: The Anunnaki Were Here
Our subconscious does strange things when you're sick, on pain meds, and listen to Coast to Coast in the dark.

Last night's guest on C2C was Marshall Klarfeld author of The Anunnaki Were Here!  A fascinating interview. (I bought the Kindle version of the book this morning.) Klarfeld's take on things alien expands the theories of Zecharia Sitchin. Klarfeld's research shows that there are ancient structures all over the planet that have to do with gold mining, which is, "as Ancient Alien Theorists contend" the reason for the Annunaki presence on our planet. Here's a blurb on the book from his site:
THE ANUNNAKI WERE HERE, Marshall's new book contains over 95 color pictures introducing his new theory of "washboard gold mining" by the Anunnaki. This book may rank as one of the 10 Most Important Archaeological Finds of the 21st Century.
I liked Marshall Klarfeld's approach; open to other, concurrent theories as well, it seems pretty straightforward the Anunnaki were once here, given all the evidence. As he put it, the pieces of the puzzle just fit, in giving support for the idea that the Anunnaki were (and still are) present on the earth.

Glowing Eyed Annunaki
So in my drugged state, while listening to the program, I had the following dream:

Jim and I are in Egypt. It's night, and we're a bit lost. We find ourselves on a large path, like a promenade, by the sea. (A recurring dream symbol for me.) We have to make it to our plane, or some kind of transportation to leave the next day, but in the meantime, we have to find a place to hang out for the night. We're a little worried about having all our papers, and making it to where we have to be the next day in time.

Not many people around here at night. Just the reflections of distant lights onto he dark water. We pass by the back of a large building, like a hotel, but there's no name or anything to tell us what the building is. We assume it's a free, hostel kind of place. There's a large sliding glass door that's unlocked, we go in. A few bean bag chairs, a cot like bed, comfy and clean but sparse. We go in and rest. I find a copy of a UFO book written in the 1940s about ancient astronauts. I am tickled to find a UFO book to take with me; I assume it's for the taking, as many motels have a book exchange. Inside the book there are several passages circled and underlined.
Anubis, god of the underworld

Then we begin to see the Annunaki walking around, outside. They're peering inside our room, they're walking all around. It's a bit scary. They're tall and thin, and have glowing eyes, with no pupils. Their eyes are glowing a light blue. We start to run out of there, grab a few things, then I realize this is actually someone's apartment, and not an open room for weary travelers. There's a large messenger bag that obviously belongs to someone, and a duffel bag. Someone else is traveling along this way. We're trespassing and stealing, but at this point, I don't care. Our safety is the only thing I'm concerned about.

As we're running from the Annunaki , even though they're not a direct threat, not yet anyway, we pass by a few Anubis. They also have glowing eyes, with no pupils. Their eyes emit a brilliant white light.
Another eye: Eye of Horus
There's the impression that these beings are alive and well and everyone knows about them. They only come out at night, and that's why everyone is inside. They're not a direct threat, not exactly, but it's not something you want to be around if you can help it.

Page of Swords and the Bull
A bit unrelated but the first thing that came into my mind when I woke up was this card from the Deviant Moon Tarot deck. This deck has become one of my favorites, and this card has always been a card that draws me. The page is dressed in royal colors and finery, and keeps his lighted, glowing eye on ...? The sword, which cuts through spirit and emotions, getting to the knowledge? Or looking ahead, sword poised, at the ready? The page is youth; eager, wandering, seeking. Traditional meaning for this card includes: energy, passion (that youth), journeys, beginnings, news. Often times a stormy beginning or energy afoot. Often assigned the sign of Taurus -- the bull. Which brings us to the Egyptian Apis bull, representing regeneration.

The UFO Tarot

I collect Tarot and divination decks, and was idly looking through the House of Tarot website, and found this: The UFO Tarot deck. It was bound to happen!

You can see more decks that I found interesting on the Women Of Esoterica blog.
