Our Big Fat Massive Pentagon Multi-Researcher Government UFO Reveal

Listening to C2C this past Sunday night, host, George Knapp. Guest: Dr. Eric Davis discussing UFOs. Points -- important points -- UFOs are real. As Knapp said, "Duh." What they are, that's another question. Although Eric Davis did say the origins of UFOs are "non-human." Inter, outer, inner, other . . . but not human. So far, fine.

Lots of researchers of the nuts and bolts kind involved in the Pentagon's study of UFOs. Although Davis did say that there is a definite paranormal aspect to UFOs. (Which is clear, and something many a UFO witness, including myself, has experienced.)  Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) involvement in this has always troubled me. Davis blithely acknowledged many conclusions remain classified, and (paraphrasing) will never be released to the public. At the top: Bigelow, who has said in the past that people don't have the right to know everything. Bigelow is a private citizen. A wealthy one, with all kinds of connections to government as well as industry, including aviation. A sort of anomalous Howard Hughes type.

I definitely have mixed feelings about Bigelow. He's poured a lot of money into paranormal research. He's gathered people of various disciplines to study UFOs and the anomalous realm. On the other hand, he's too damn cozy with both government and private industry. Both factions include those who don't give a damn about the truth concerning findings and how it will affect our society as well as culture. They only care about how those findings can benefit them. The rest of hoi poli be damned. We don't get to know.

Bigelow has had his own UFO experiences, which he doesn't talk about. I do love the fact that he doesn't care what people think about his opinions and beliefs concerning UFO reality. He has the wealth and connections to make things happen with research. Who hasn't daydreamed about having all the money in the world to spend on paranormal and UFO research? (Well, if you're a saucer nerd, that is.)

There's Bigelow's work with NASA. He wants to go out to space. Trump wants a 'Space Force.' MUFON. NIDS. Skinwalker Ranch. Project BEAM. BAASS. Conspiratorial minds are busy musing on the implications.

From the beginning, and more so as time has gone on, I've had a nagging feeling about Bigelow and those he works with -- something not right.

Government has acknowledged UFOs are real. The rest of the world goes on. There's been a kind of shrug and 'hmm, interesting' response to this news and then, nothing. But what can we do? Regardless of UFOs, the world, and the U.S., is in a rotten and sad state. I'm not naive or ignorant, of course I'm aware and involved in the very real day to day madness of our current POTUS and what he has unleashed in our world. It's sick, it's deranged, it's bad.

So no wonder the obvious news of late from the Pentagon, from mainstream publications like the New York Times, that UFOs are real doesn't cause the huge reaction it might have not long ago. Meanwhile, much of what our government, as well as private industry and a handful of citizens knows about UFOs remains hidden.

I've long believed that the government knows a hell of a lot more than it says it does, that information released to the public is on need to know basis, and, the information itself is parceled out according to their needs at the moment. Does anyone out here really believe that all is revealed?

International Air Space and the Black Triangles

In past articles on the black triangles, I've often made the comment about the fact the triangles appear all over the world, which means they appear in international air space. I've stated that this is risky; the abrupt appearance of an unknown craft in another country's air space seems dangerous. But, if we don't know who the triangles belong to, if they're man made or alien, and so on, the issue is probably moot. However, I still assumed that the U.S. (assuming the triangles are ours) flying into the air space of other countries was a bad thing, unless of course that air space was part of NATO and so on.

No one's challenged me on my assumption or has bothered to set me straight. (Which means no one's reading what I write, :) But in talking with someone the other day who's interested in history and military stuff, I was told that at certain heights, craft flies into air space all the time. And if the craft is astoundingly fast, as the triangles appear to be, and their origin is unknown (presumably) no harm can come to either craft or nation. If a black triangle appears in China, who would China respond to? Not enough time or data to analyze to determine where it came from.

This is all very nuts and bolts and it's an area I am not at all familiar with or even too interested in -- I'm not an aviation maven or military buff -- but it is important to have some sense of these kinds of things to help us in our studies of UFOs.

So far, the triangles remain true UFOs. They may very well be man made, but we don't know that, not yet. Even if they are man made, there are a lot of mysteries surrounding the triangles. One being: are the triangles based on alien technology? If not, it is still an incredible creation; these triangles are huge and incredibly fast, even downright spooky. What is their purpose? They've been around for decades, why the continued secrecy?

If the triangles are man made (either the U.S. or some other nation) and are flying in the skies of the world, as they clearly are, are they doing so with the complicity of other governments? Or is there just one, or a very few, governments having their way with the rest of the world? In this scenario, we hardly need aliens here, we seem to be doing a good enough job on our own involving issues of deceit, subversion, secrecy, disinformation, and agendas.

My strong interest in the triangles is rooted in my own personal sighting. Which really wasn't very dramatic, given the experiences of so many other witnesses to the triangles. An example is the sighting of the Bale brothers from Oregon, who saw a triangle while camping in Idaho.

The triangle sightings continue, and have been occurring for so long, I think that for some researchers it's become almost a boring topic. Probably because of my own sighting, and my insatiable curiosity when it comes to unsolved fringe mysteries, I remain intrigued by the triangles. Alien or man made, almost doesn't matter, because the phenomena of the triangles is so weird (decades long event, fantastic speeds and maneuvers, odd effects upon witnesses, global appearances, secrecy, etc.) the topic stands on its own as a fringe object of study.

Triangle Manipulations

This is a pic of a drawing I did a few years ago of the giant triangle UFO I saw several years ago in Dexter, Oregon. I was just having fun with some computer manipulation of images. I did the little sketch in pastel crayon, than played around with the color, etc. on the computer.

The triangle sighting I've posted about before on-line; briefly, it goes like this:
Outdoors at a large gathering in a rural area in August; about five of us standing under a small tree, something, don't know what because there was no sound, made me look up and I saw the huge triangle. No lights, but the shape was definite, and blended in with the night sky. It was still light-ish, not yet totally dark. The triangle blocked out the stars, etc. so you could see a giant triangle shape of dark blue something, not sky, and the surrounding sky was a bit lighter, with stars, etc.

I told everyone with me to look up, they did. We made silly jokes about missing time and checked our watches (there wasn't any) and we just stood there, looking at it. We even commented that we should go tell people, but we couldn't move. Also, sound seemed muffled. Cris and Mark Bales, who had an incredible triangle sighting in Idaho and gave a great presentation on their sighting at the recent McMinnville UFO Fest, said that it was as if a giant blanket had been placed above them. That explains the feeling well.

The triangle left; it just zoomed/slid off, very fast, and very silently. How something so damn big can move so fast, and so quietly, ... very weird. As soon as the thing left, that ears stuffed with cotton ball feeling was gone, and we felt our normal selves again. That sense of apathy and physical sluggishness was gone.

We told others what we'd seen. Just about everyone thought it was interesting, the owners of the property were almost jaded, saying they see stuff like that "all the time around here."

One person was very rude; off the wall rude. He actually, literally made the "you're crazy" motion with his hands; I mean, who does that, as an adult? Then he made a comment about how much beer I'd had; when I told him I hadn't had any beer, since I was the driver, he then said I was smoking too much pot, or on something, for sure. No to all that as well. So then he just said I was lying. Okay, that's when I got pissed off and called him on his calling me a liar, which made him mad, and he walked off.

Anyway. The triangle sighting was different in many ways from other reports; it really wasn't visually as dramatic. It wasn't even black. And no lights. But it was still something else, indeed.

The Almost Sphere, and Update from Portland, OR

Almost . . .
As we were leaving our house this evening to go to dinner (mmmm, birthday sushi!) I looked up at the heavily chemtrailed sky above me. And was a bit startled, because of the timing in the recent posts on the trials, to see an orange orb moving across the sky. I asked my husband if he saw it; not at first, but after a few moments he did. We watched it; an opaque darkish rust colored kind of orange making its way towards us, going over our heads, our house. . . and then we realized. It was a balloon. Still, a brief moment of slightly spooky synchronicity -- and the trickster laughing at the joke.

Update From Cindy PDX
On another note, read the recent comment from Cindy PDX, who lives in the Portland, Oregon area, and has been observing the heavy chemtrail activity there:
Regan, This is not a very good video, but wanted to show what I tried to tape on Oct 31st 2007 regarding purposely made CIRCLE / loopy contrails over SE Portland, Oregon.
I've lived here all my life, and NEVER have I seen so many loopy loops, circles and curved contrails - in a 2 hour time frame. I posted more info about the event on BoT under the UFO topic under the thread called : "Chemtrails - full force Again".

I uploaded this video on DailyMotion HERE
as well as on Youtube HERE

Someone saw my vid and sent me an email saying HE SAW THE SAME THING going on in SEASIDE, OR the same day! I thought it was the day before but he saw it the same day!

**sorry for the few cuss words in the video, but I was really shocked about what I was watching**

Mind you I live VERY close to PDX Airport - so I am positive this was not some Air show. And these were not caused by the wind because I caught them in the ACT of making them. They were either lost, wasting gas, or SPRAYING US.

To top that off, TODAY, Nov 3rd 2007 while outside in my yard, I see a few contrails in a straight path against the brilliant blue sky. However, some contrails made "X's" and I'll be d@mned! I watched / observed yet another WHITE SMALL SPHERE hovering above the one X contrail for close to 20 minutes! I could see it with my eyes, and found it in the binoculars, but only caught a few frames of it on video. It doesn't prove much but at least I know I was not seeing things. AND to top things off this white sphere was VERY similar to the TWO Spheres I watched for close to 30 minutes back on May 30 2007.

If you blink, you could lose sight of it or you may find it suddenly in a different spot within a blink of an eye. They hover and are very still. I rarely see them move - I see clouds or contrails move along but NOT these spheres.
They can go so easily undetected - I said it before, and I'll say it again.. they are VERY elusive lil' buggers! What they are, I have NO clue. Are they OURS or THEIRS?

That last question: ours or theirs -- is a good one. Who is “theirs” anyway? Like the black triangles, chemtrials are a mystery all right. The logical and rational answer is that they’re “ours.” Even so, there are some strange things that don’t add up. Both are global phenomena, both seem to defy known technologies, etc., there’s a large human force behind the manipulation of these events, air space legalities and human subject laws are at issue; all just for starters. None of these things negates the likelihood that they’re “ours” but it makes it all that much stranger.

Here are the links Cindy PDX mentions in her post:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3csq1_wth-are-they-spraying-oct-31-2007

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxnyr9SeZ-4

I’ve seen these circular ones as well; not very often, but I have seen them. Also ones that are “elbowed,” X’s, etc.

West Coast Chemtrails Forum

There’s a forum dedicated to chemtrail activity on the West Coast (and everywhere) on Yahoo. It’s actually one I started a few years ago but turned it over to a new moderator, “mirakulu” who is doing a very good job. Lots of activity over there. The link is on the menu on your right; look for Yahoo forums, West Coast Chemtrails.

A Post Script on UFO Magazine Trianlge Article

The new issue of UFO Magazine is out. As usual, lots there, I'm looking forward to reading Farah Yurdozo's article on Adamski and Nazis. Yes! Haven't read the article, but it will prove to be very interesting. I've wondered for years about the Contactee movement and how there is a lot below the dichotomy of "they're nuts-lairs"/"they really did see ET".

My article on Black Triangles and the Trickster is in this issue as well. In the article I asked why the triangle hasn't changed in the many decades they've been present? You'd think that, over time and with their technology, they'd have changed quite a bit.

After the article, someone mentioned to me that there might be a couple of reasons why they haven't changed. We have ships; they really haven't changed much over several decades. If the triangle occupants are ET, time travel is a possibility: what may take a few hours in their life may seem like years in ours. I don't mesh with the idea of time travel; but who knows.

Another possibility: maybe they have changed, but they've changed to such a degree we don't recognize them as being triangles or related to triangles in any way. If that's so however, why use the triangles -- unless, as we do, use of older machines is still done.

All highly speculative of course. But it keeps me off the streets.

The Black Triangle Abduction

Right now I'm reading Bill and Nadine Foster's book The Black Triangle Abduction. I don't know what to make of it; it's written by someone who isn't a narrative writer (he writes how to books) - he writes in a folksy, straight forward style using too many commas. Which sounds and feels right. There are a lot of eerie parallels to other encounters, including my own. Foster details his regression sessions, and he's contacted MUFON, NUFORC, Budd Hopkins and other "bona fide" (LOL) researchers.

Like many experiencers, he didn't have any interest or knowledge of UFO/close encounter events until this happened to him. A missing time episode and sighting with his wife and friends was the trigger for him that led him to discover his experience.

I haven't finished the book, just about in the middle. I don't know what to make of it; it's the first triangle abduction I know of, which makes it different. There are similarities however, as I mentioned. Foster mentions some interesting facts; the way journalist just put words in his mouth, for example. And a package delivered to him by an unnamed source in his town related to the sighting; the affects of the sighting on the town, which can be verified. So something did happen.

Fife Symington on C2C Tonight

The first hour of C2C (Coast to Coast, syndicated radio) will have on Arizona ex-governor and UFO witness Fife Symington.

Symington's been making the news lately, due to his recent admission he saw a large triangle UFO over Phoenix during the "Phoenix Lights" event.

I don't think I'll be able to hear that however; in Eugene, Oregon, where I live, the station that carries it (KPNW) has, in their wisdom, decided to cut off the first hour of coast to coast and air, of all people, the misogynistic right wing blow bag, Lars Larson. Sometimes I'm able to get a station from the Bay Area up here, and can listen to the first hour of C2C that way. Between KPNW cutting off the first hour of C2C, and their competition, KUGN canceling Jeff Rense. As much as I loathe Rense, that purple tinted, yellow journalistic, anti-Semitic misogynistic blow bag, as least it was another source of UFO-conspiracy-Fortean mind rot for us flying saucer junkies.

You know, it's a good thing I'm not a strongly opinionated person or anything. I should work on that.

Lesley of The Debris Field blog has written an article on ex-Arizona governor Symington, who recently announced that he did see a UFO ten years ago during the Phoenix Lights UFO event. Lesley's article is More Proof that Politicians are the Lowest form of Life and she doesn’t hold back in her disgust at his past behavior (ridiculing witnesses, etc.) and the decade long silence on his part.

“Be Honest About What You See . . .” Cooper and Symington

Looks like both The OrangeOrb (er, me) and the Heavy Stuff blog were wrong; Anderson Cooper has picked up on the Symington story. Actually, to be specific, the author of Heavy Stuff wrote that Cooper probably won’t ask Symington who ordered him to pull that trivializing stunt with his aide in an alien suit. Good question.
While Cooper does a good job of reporting on Symington’s sighting and what Symington has to say without stopping to mockery or lame little green men jokes, he didn’t ask that question.

The Stories

“Be honest about what you see, get out of the way and let the story reveal itself.” ~ Anderson Cooper

When it comes to UFOs and related experiences (Forteana, etc) this is the starting point for all of us. For many of us it is all we have. It’s all I have, regarding my own experiences. I don’t have bits of a spaceship, a photograph of an alien (assuming those two things were ever part of the events -- who can say?) I don’t have “proof.” (See Stanton Friedman’s articles in the March issues of UFO Magazine and MUFON Journal for his perspective on the demands for proof.)

The more conservative skeptics, who are perennially affronted at the likes of us, basically tell us to just shut up. They have many tactics for doing this, including trotting out the more garish and embarrassing characters in UFOlogy as proof the whole thing is nonsense. They’ve set up a closed system: anecdotal evidence isn’t evidence at all, therefore unless you have bits of a spaceship from Mars, go away.

So while the anti-UFOists, the chronic skeptics, debunkers and the like continue to mock and chide, the rest of us are left with our experiences. Getting no help from them (quite the opposite much of the time) we’re left with a hodge podge of UFO witnesses. Some have mind up their minds, sure, and that’s not good. Some believe they’re been in contact with extraterrestrials, and maybe they have. Maybe the beings have told them as much. That doesn’t mean they’re telling the truth: they could be anything from a mind control black op Dr. Evil government experiment to inner earth entities. Whatever they are, those of us who’ve experienced weird things are trying to figure it out. And all around us are people who feel they have some sort of intellectual -- moral, even -- imperative to insult, mock and harass. Or we have institutionalized science telling us, from afar, what it is we experienced.

The majority of the time, all we have is anecdotal evidence. Intuition. Imagination. Our own inner dance. Perceptions. And while I’m not so naive -- nor ignorant -- to think institutionalized science should suddenly get happy and embrace these feel good concepts, it wouldn’t hurt for the individual humans involved in these projects to check in with themselves from time to time.

UFO witnesses, experiencers of the weird in general, need to tell their stories, and their stories need to be listened to without rancor or ridicule.

Notes:

Lesley, of Debris Field, has written her new column for Binnall of America will be on the Phoenix Lights/Symington revealation, but it wasn’t up last time I checked. Keep checking BOA though.

On The Brink Of Hysteria. Really. They Were.

Among Big UFO News is the admission by ex-Governor of Arizona Fife Symington, who now says he saw a UFO that night of ‘the Phoenix Lights” in March ten years ago. (Former Arizona Gov. Admits UFO Sighting On Night of Phoenix Lights
By Jon Shanks
Mar 18, 2007)

And in a touch of irony, in typical Trickster fashion, it was Symington who was responsible for the pedestrian and lame “alien in a costume” stunt. Symtington publicly made fun of the whole UFO event, and in one bit of bozo like behavior, introduced an extraterrestrial, as being responsible for the lights. Har har. (The costumed individual was Jay Heiker, an assistant in the governor’s camp.)

As I’ve written before, one of the aspects of the PHoenix Lights case that always intrigued me was the lack of response, and interest, from authorities.

In the interview Symington says that he called the commander at Luke Air Force Base, the general in charge of the National Guard, and the head of the Department of Public Safety to request an explanation. None of them had answers, and they, too, were "perplexed," he says.

Now, that’s the kind of response I want from our government agencies: weird things flying over our cities, and all they can offer us is that they’re “perplexed.”

When asked about his ridicule factor back then, Symington says:
He explains that Arizona was "on the brink of hysteria" about the UFO sighting at the time, and the frenzy was building. "I wanted people to lighten up and calm down, so I introduced a little levity. But I never felt that the overall situation was a matter of ridicule," he says.

Nice spin. But no cigar.

Of course, I wasn’t in Phoenix, Arizona during these sightings, and so I can’t say if the state was “on the brink of hysteria” or not. It does seem to me, from what I’ve seen and read from the media (I’ve been following this event closely ever since the first day) that people were more likely intensely curious, as well as frustrated with the non-response of those in authority. From their Governor, who publicly made a joke out of the whole thing, to the Air Force, etc. no one took the citizens seriously.

We can't be too hard on Symington. He is, was, a politician. Enough said right there. And look at the junk still flung around about Jimmy Carter's sighting, for example. He's come out now with it, that's something. According to him, he was seeking answers behind the scenes.

But as the author of The Heavy Stuff blog wrote, don't expect Anderson Cooper to come along and do a news story on this.

However, I've noticed that the Phoenix story, like its namesake, doesn't ever really die. There's hope yet.

Sketch of Oregon Triangle

As many of you may know, I saw a triangle a few years ago in Dexter, Oregon. (Dexter is in Lane County, Oregon.) Here's a graphic I did of the triangle.

I tried to show how the triangle was almost the color of the surrounding sky, but not quite. It was just a shade or so darker, and blotted out any stars and background. It was completely silent, very huge, no lights. It was right above us, at an angle; and then shot off incredibly silently, and incredibly fast. A blink of an eye. Just sort of "slid" off, and away.

WHY DON'T THEY FAKE IT?

UFO Is Reported at O'Hare; Feds Are Silent

All Things Considered, January 1, 2007 · In November, a gray, metallic, saucer-like object was spotted hovering above Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. As many as 12 United Airlines employees spotted the object and filed reports with United.

Officials at the airline say they have no knowledge of the incident, and the Federal Aviation Administration is not investigating.

Melissa Block speaks with Chicago Tribune transportation reporter Jon Hilkevtich, who reported on the incident.

Reading Dr. Lynne Kitei’s book The Phoenix LIghts, two things struck me as odd. One, the apathetic and bewildered response (or lack of response) from official agencies (military, law, etc.) and the lack of response from both UFO researchers and anti-UFOists (chronic skeptics) about this.

About the Phoenix Lights: forget the “flare theory.” Even if you accept that as the explanation (sigh)) it doesn’t cover the nights previous to, and following, that night’s UFO events. (Not to mention a decades long history of UFO sightings in the area.)

UFOs were filmed and photographed; and literally hundreds of citizens witnessed these objects. Numerous calls to agencies went ignored, or were shuffled off to other agencies who didn’t know (or pretended not to know) anything either. Explanations, when forthcoming, changed, and it was clear no one in any official capacity knew a damn thing.

Seems to be the way with the O’Hare sighting. Whatever the object was, it was something and no, a natural phenomeana, like the flares story, just won't do.

It is beside the point, for the sake of this argument, what the UFOs in Phoenix and Chicago were, if they came from space or not, if they were ours, or aliens. I’m not so much concerned with inane questions about “beliefs” in UFOs and/or aliens, but the lack of a vital and active response from those supposedly in control.

The point is, we have layers upon layers of baffled bureaucracies that don’t know a damn thing, and have long ago given up any illusion of pretending to care.

Damn it. When we see weird objects in the skies above our cities, I expect local, state, and federal agencies to act like they have everything under control. That they know what’s what.

I want a few people -- in uniform, if at all possible -- to hit the airwaves, the radio, CNN, and somberly state that they are investigating, or that it’s classified, or that... anything, something, as long as that something conveys a solid sense of We Know What We’re Doing.

Even if it’s clear they’re lying (they’re politicians, law, and government, of course they’re lying) or that they really don’t have a clue, who cares? These days in particular, with our current administration, we’re well used to them lying even while not knowing what they’re doing. That’s a minor point; the point is, where is everyone?

From roughly the late 1940s to the 1960s our government had several official programs (Project Twinkle, Project Grudge, Project Bluebook, and the Air Force as official agency handling UFO reports) devoted to studying UFOs. Of course, as we know, the general purpose seemed to be debunking UFOs or passing on disinformation. But they at least pretended to assure the country everything was A-OK.

When it comes to UFOs flying over our cities, it’s insane to pretend that they’re not. And that is what various agencies of authority have been doing in recent years regarding UFOs. We’ll just say “what UFOs”and maybe they’ll go away. Like Alfred E. Neuman, the reaction to UFO reports is "What, me worry?"

Even if the UFOs don’t go away, as long as they’re not really doing anything (the UFOs, not the humans) the agencies can get away with acting oblivious.

They can get away with it because no one is calling them on it. The ones that are, are the ‘UFO kooks,,” the ones the chronic skeptics, the anti-UFOists, call anyone who refuses to quietly accept the silly explanations like swamp gas, plasma, flares, or clouds. Refusing to immediately accept the all too quick and weak explanations, those of us who say “hey, wait a minute...’ are allowed to get beat up by the anti-UFOists because no one’s shaking them by their collars and telling them to knock it off.

One would think the U.S. government would act all gruff and strong and humbug and serious and state firmly that the UFO event (Phoenix, O’Hare, etc.) is being taken care of. “We care,” they should be saying, “We really do. We’re looking into this. and now go back to whatever you were doing, nothing to see here.” One would think the government would at least pretend to act like it’s ready to take charge in a big blustery way and put up a good show to the rest of the world.

Instead, when it comes to UFOs, the United States seems to enjoy looking like buffoons. In this post 9/11 era, one would hope for something better. The Air Force no longer has anything to do with UFOs; no official agency does. (At least on the surface; it's a safe and rational assumption to think they're actually paying great attention.) As many have pointed out, including George Hansen in his book Trickster and the Paranormal, there is no official policy of being remotely interested in the subject. If it weren’t for people like Peter Davenport and his National UFO Reporting Agency, or MUFON, -- neither of who receive any government money at all -- we’d be up a creek in regards to UFO activity.

We have a smattering of reporters who risk credibility and their jobs in taking serious looks into UFO reports, dedicated individual UFO researchers like Peter Davenport, MUFON members, various bloggers, writers, investigators and UFO related publications and a scant handful of national television programs, like Out There TV, and C2C. After that are pod casts, local radio and televisions programming, satellite programs, etc.

As to officials, their seems to be a hierarchy among “officials” when it comes to UFOs. Municipal police seem to be neutral to matter of fact when it comes to UFOs. This is purely an observation, nothing more. But police will follow up on reports, and many a police officer has seen a UFO. (The Illinois UFO sighting in 2000 is a good example.) But the higher up you go, the more dysfunctional things get.

The rest are left to their own devices, sneered at by the chronic skeptics, ignored by government agencies at just about all levels. We pay taxes for these services and should expect more, even if they are faking it.

Instead, we get either a mad dash at a silly explanation before it gets squashed, or it’s ignored altogether.

Maybe “they’ (you know, them) have given up. After all, as I admit freely here, any uniformed official, as a Representative of Something (preferably Air Force/military) is going to be lying. We all know that.

One example: if the Triangles are classified military craft, and not something extraterrestrial, then what the hell are they doing flying over populated areas, and in the restricted airspace's of other countries? The officials can't very well admit that they’re doing something illegal. They can’t acknowledge they’re performing illegal maneuvers in restricted air space. Still, they could just lieif only to make us feel a bit better, even for a few moments. It wouldn’t be the first time.

But sometimes there’s comfort in faking it, even if all of us know damn well they’re faking it. The faker is a sort of scapegoat for us who don’t trust a thing he/she says. For the chronic skeptics, the faker will be perceived as a rational voice in the midst of UFO insanity. Which in turn will propel the rest of us to laugh heartily before getting pissed off and doing something about it, like exposing the faker for the faking faker he/she is. And for rest of the culture, people are left to decide for themselves what to do.
