Calling Out Amy George on UFO Bits

A few years ago, I think it was before the Orange Orb, I had a blog called UFO Bits. Not the best name, but I was searching for ideas and names, trying out various things. So, for a short time, had a blog called UFO Bits.

I got rid of that blog, or so I thought. I stumbled upon UFO Bits, but it seems we have not only a squatter, but a bold ass in your face plagiarist as well. Her name is Amy George, and she has put her name onto posts that I have written. Here is the shameless hussy: UFO Bits: Amy George

Regan, That's weird! A few copies of your blog entries over the years. What's the point?

And, I wonder what the San Jose connection is - up on the right side of the blog page? Maybe there is someway you can track this person down - ISP ect.

Hi Brownie,

I think if you leave a blog or site sit too long a web squatter can come along and somehow take it over, not sure on the tech aspects of that. I could have sworn I had dleted the blog but somehow I didn't. So it doesn't bother me that someone took over the site and name; what bugs me is putting her nam eright smack onto things I have written, no matter how trivial those things might be. I mean delete my posts, or add something to them in terms of citing the correct author.

Oh, I didn't know that about web squatting. I wonder too if "Amy George" is the person's actual name or a pseudonym. Weird and annoying for you no doubt. I hope you'll find out more and when you do, share it with us.

Regan, I'm very sorry this happened to you. I had an experience of someone who stole some of my posts and put them up on their blog. Contact Blogger and provide them copies of your original work, the dates they were published, and the links to the UFO Bits site where this person lists them now. Good luck!
