(Actually, I realized I misspelled it) it's Kah-nee-tah, in Oregon, in the high desert, a beautiful place. Even though the colors and shapes in the painting defy the idea of "desert" there were magical areas where the light -- and the feeling -- of being there felt like what I painted.
