DISCOVERING THE TRUE NATURE OF UFOS AND THE JINN

From Tim Beckley, (MR. UFO) at UFO Digest, on the Jinn (or Djinn) and UFOs/aliens. I've been interested in this connection for awhile now, and I think there are huge clues to the UFO phenomena within the context of what are called Jinn.

DISCOVERING THE TRUE NATURE OF UFOS AND THE JINN: THEY ARE BEST KNOWN AS THE JINN (or DJINN) and we should be mighty leery – perhaps even afraid – of them!
Those in the UFO field who have begun to treat these “creatures of the night” seriously include the “First Lady of UFOlogy” Ann Druffel and the “Queen of the Paranormal,” Rosemary Ellen Guiley. John – “Mothman Prophecies” – Keel also spoke about them but referred to them as beguiling “demons,” while New England-based science teacher Philip Imbrogno lost a certain degree of academic credibility due, at least partially, to his investigation into these denizens of darkness. Many thanks to Tim Beckley who shared this link to interviews with contacteess: Faded Discs Archive --- The Contactees : Free Download & Streaming : Internet Archive

I haven't listened to any of the recordings yet, but had to share -- too good to just hold on to this gem. Adamski, Van Tassel, George King, Daniel Fry, many others. I am looking forward to listening to these!

Small item: Mystery humming

This little item in today's Eugene-Springfield area newspaper, Register Guard:

Mystery humming sound heard at night
OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Some Olympia residents say they have been awakened in the overnight hours by a mysterious humming sound.     The Olympian reports not everyone can hear it and the sound is intermittent.     Attempts to track down the um have been unsuccessful, although idling trains, pressure washers and heat pumps have been suspected. -- News service reports
(source: Register-Guard, City Region section, pB3, April 20, 2014)

Of course these stories of hums heard world wide, including the in the U.S., have been around for some time in the Fortean arena. I always find it interesting when anomalous events like this are casually inserted as fillers in main stream media.

A Childhood Experience of Reincarnation?

cross posted at my blog Saucer Sightings.

Robert McLuhan at Paranormalia writes on some reincarnation research of children's accounts of their past lives:

Paranormalia: Some Reflections on Children’s Memories: I’ve spent the past few weeks working on Ian Stevenson’s case studies of children who remember a past life. Specifically his four collections of ten or twelve cases each from India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Burma, and Lebanon and Turkey. These case reports are much more detailed, but also less well known than those in Twenty Cases Suggestive of Reincarnation. Since they’re in the SPR library here in London I thought I’d get them out and write short summaries of as many as I can. ~ McLuhan
Very interesting. His article (very much worth reading) inspired me to comment on my own childhood experience. Regarding reincarnation -- as a literal event, or how most of us Westerners tend to perceive the concept --  has always seemed a little shaky to me. This is not to say I don't accept that reincarnation is real; I do believe that many souls reincarnate. I'm just not sure on all the particulars; how it works, how much of what we remember and experience as real is literally solid and how much is … something else. Regardless of those nuances, I do not dismiss reincarnation as being actual, I simply think I have a lot to learn, which would include the deep study of esoteric systems that I doubt I'll ever have the time to fully explore.

When I was ten or eleven, I had the following experience. (I don't know if the fact that I did a lot of sleep walking as a child, and had many UFO and "alien" experiences as well as generally odd Fortean and paranormal experiences has anything to do with the following experience. I think there's a connection in there somewhere.)
I'm standing in the our kitchen, making peanut butter sandwiches for our lunches. Just standing there, by myself, spreading the peanut butter on the bread. I remember the kitchen is a little dim; it's quiet for once around here.
Suddenly, I am literally plucked from the kitchen by what feels like a giant, invisible hand, and plopped down on a floor covered with straw. I am terrified -- what the hell just happened? I am suddenly two people -- me, the eleven year old from 1965, and someone else. Still me, but someone else. I "know" just know, that I am 15 years old, and this is where I work. I also just know that I work here, and live not far from here, and that it's in the 1600s. I can feel the heavy weight of the clothes I'm wearing, how hot they are! And itchy. A cream colored tight top and heavy brown skirt. I can smell everything! Feel the fire in the huge fireplace, smell the beer and straw and people . . . I am carrying a heavy wood tray full of  plates and drinks. These plates and cups are heavy and crudely made.  I'm hot and a little scared and everything is so heavy!
This is all real, this is really happening. It's like the present day me from 1965 Los Angeles is inside of the 1600s 15 year old in England. Then, just as abruptly as before, I am "thrown back" into my kitchen in California, making sandwiches.
I was terrified! I remember thinking I had gone insane, or …I don't know, it was so damn strange and real! I left the kitchen, shaking, and just feeling so disoriented.

True memory of a past life? All these decades later I remember this experience and it is still a very weird, vivid memory.  I have no idea if it was a true glimpse into a past life. It's possible, yes. I don't doubt it. But I can't say for sure. I don't know. (I do have a heavy dose of Celtic ancestry on both sides of my family: Scottish, English, Irish.)

KRIS 6 News Reports:' Chupacabra Found Alive in South Texas?'

I've written about this several times in the past; about so-called "chupacabras" found in the U.S. Somewhere along the Fortean line, the chupacabra legend morphed front the glowing red eyed, spiny backed bipedal alien-like cryptid of Puerto Rico, then Florida, Mexico, and elsewhere, to the hairless canine type animals in the U.S. KRIS 6 News - Chupacabra Found Alive in South Texas?

For some time now, these odd hairless animals have been chased, trapped and killed, out of a thrilling fear sense, so it seems. Referred to as "chupacabras" these animals are displayed as proof there is something monstrous roaming the land.

In reality, these animals are just that: animals, of the mundane variety. Sadly, their conditions are worrisome, not because of any "monster" threat, but because their conditions are not only bad for the animal, but indicators of something wrong in the eco-system. Instead, this obvious signal of distress within our environment is ignored, while the sensationalism of "monsters" in our midst continues with reports of a "monster" caught on tape. Or in a trap. Or shot to death.

Bad Clown Story

Recent Staten Island creepy clown news; as The Anomalist asks, in today's news feed, just why is it some are afraid of clowns?

I wouldn't say I'm "afraid" but I dislike them. (although, the creepier and more out of place they are, I guess there is a "fear") -- years ago, hubby's company picnic, they had a clown for the kids. He was a big lumbering gravelly voiced clown, and seemed extremely unhappy. Bored, and rude. Kept telling the kids not to watch TV it's bad for you -- now, I actually have nothing against having kids watch way less TV but that's beside the point. I mean, this clown went off on a rant and wouldn't let it go. I expected him to whip out a cigarette any minute and a flask full of booze. He got easily annoyed with the kids, impatient and yanked things out of their hands if they didn't get the trick fast enough.
I kept looking around to see if any of the adults were picking up on any of this -- they weren't. I think a couple actually did but they chose to ignore it. Then this irksome sloppy rude pushy clown looks at me, I'm with my friend and her little daughter -- and says to me "Right, grandma?" GRANDMA???!!!  I was in my forties at the time! I mean, come on! Fucking GRANDMA??? When I told him I was NOT anyone's grandma, he didn't apologize or anything, he got a little smirk and actually kept saying it, calling out "grandma" to me as he went through his tired, sorry routine. I was ready to punch him out. That would be a sight: woman in her mid forties punching out a clown at a family friendly company picnic.

Yahoo email loop

UPDATE: OKAY, NEW ADDRESS: ORANGEORB@MAIL.COM

I have a few email addresses through Yahoo:

freebies, such as the original one: seaglow99@yahoo.com

Some I pay for, including of course rlee@orangeorb.net
That one is gone. It is gone gone gone. No idea why.

arianna_tarot@yahoo.com is still good.

I've called Yahoo several times in the past couple of days. Two numbers I have,  I get a recording, "your call is important to us" then "we cannot handle your call at this time try again" and they disconnect me.

The other number; first it was busy, then disconnected me, then a recording the third time I called with "this number no longer in service."

No explanation on Yahoo's site or social media on what's happening.

So either seaglow99@yahoo.com or the arianna_tarot@yahoo.com

2014 UFO Fest

Well, UFO Fest in McMinnville, I am very sorry to say, has gotten very greedy this year. Prices are higher. in the past, it'd cost us $25 each to hear all the speakers, now it would cost us $45 each. Plus hotel, etc. More things added, but it's fluff. Sounds like fun fluff, but just fluff. Begins Thursday night at 7:00 pm, instead of the usual Friday night. Which means that if you work, and money is tight (which means most of us) you have to shell out more, or, forget it. I choose to forget it. Maybe McMenamins will realize how greedy they're being and how inaccessible they're making their UFO Fest this year and will reign in some of their "extras" next year. Too bad that these venues often end being about money and glitz, and little meaningful content.

U.S. Map of Crazy Drone People

Still from John Carpenter's They Live, 1988

Interesting little item:

From UFO Sightings Map: What Weird UFO Shape Does Your State See?: We know that a lot of them will turn out to be drones. But it doesn't change the fact that people in every state are seeing weird shapes in the sky -- more than 6,500 of them just last year, according to the Mutual UFO Network's data.

I posted this on my Facebook page yesterday, and the verbiage was thus: "What  UFO Shapes Do The Crazy People In Your State See?" When you click on that link to the Huffington Post page, the "crazy" is gone.

Also wonder at this:

"We know that a lot of them [UFOs] will turn out to be drones."

I agree with that (for example, I think what we saw this NYE was a drone, or man made object of some kind.) But then, does that mean, if you're "crazy" and it's a drone that you see, you're crazy for seeing -- and reporting -- noticing -- said drones?

Notice that on this map there is no mention of triangles.

The message seems to be one of non-questiong.  Accept the drone, and other man made objects filling up our skies. Do not question their presence, or wonder what they're doing up there. If you want to think they're UFOs, that's good, go ahead. That's a distraction. That's tin foil hat land, and as long as you're chasing after aliens whose existence will never be proven by the infrastructure, have fun. Just don't get to close to what we're really doing up there. Shrug it off, move on, all those things in the skies are of no concern.

Jeremy Vaeni: Do Aliens Call Themselves Experiencers, Too?

Jeremy gets it, in my opinion. Pondering the motivations of the "aliens" and what's in it for us, Jeremy Vaeni asks:
Do Aliens Call Themselves Experiencers, Too? | JayVay: Let’s put this mural together in the form of a question: Is it possible I’ve been wrong all these years about the unimportance of the surface presentation we consciously remember? Family or not, what if this intelligence hides the deep stuff in the shallows of the presentation? Hey, even family’s got secrets to keep, right? So, if humans tend to remember the gist and forget the details, could they be hiding the important stuff in plain sight because that’s the stuff we’ll forget anyway? And what we don’t forget we commit to our outstanding long term memories. I don’t want to alarm anyone here, but this is too perfect. ~ Jeremy Vaeni
I know I'm going off on tangents here and I'm not speaking for Vaeni, just inspired by his recent blog writings and going off in my own direction. I left a comment on another entry of his at his blog the other day (A Question for Experiencers of "Alien," "Ghostly," and "Numinous" Encounters)  regarding these UFO/alien/paranormal/other/Fortean/anomalous/etc. experiences. Some of us have had a life time of these encounters, or, some of us may have had only one. Regardless of the number, sometimes these experiences give us a huge life changing jolt of insight, messages from "them" that we are compelled to share with the world. "They" told us about higher vibrations and a whole bunch spiritual political stuff we know is the truth. We know because a non-human entity told us so. So it has to be true, and it has to be good.

Some of us -- like myself -- have had lifetime experiences that sometimes are personally profound on a nebulous and spiritual level and sometimes they are very weird but don't seem to offer anything of use, other than the sheer weirdness of the experience. After decades of UFO sightings, missing time, encountering entities, hauntings,  -- a very long list of weird -- I don't have any deep spiritual insights to share, or messages of hope, cures, or warnings. I don't have a message from a Venusian to deliver to the masses.

The skeptoids of course (and not a few UFO researchers) use this fact as evidence there really is no there there. The whole UFO and anomalous realm is a big so what. Boring. Big deal. Move on.

That's all missing the point. It is a big deal and there is a lot to see here. We assume it's about messages and fixing humanity and discovering the literal, technical world of better, bigger things to enhance our lives. But "they" keep appearing, interacting with us, and we keep trying to figure it out. Frustrated with our lack of success in decoding their motivations, we conclude that it's all fantasy, bunk, misinterpretations or that, (and maybe this is the bleakest of all) sure, yes, "they" exist, but so what? Many a researcher has given up in frustration; acknowledging the reality of the "other" they simply decide there's no point.

Some assume that it's one thing. Maybe it is one thing; as some scholars point out, it may all come from one anomalous core. But the diversity of manifestations from that core has many facets. One alien may be a literal ET from Mars, with its own agenda. That may be proven to the world, but that would not be the end of the story. The ET phenomena will not have been solved with that one disclosure, merely one small aspect of a massively complex phenomena.

Alien Art Genre: time is Time is

a new poem at Alien Art Genre :  time is Time is

NASA is being forced by the US government to fly a mission to Europa – the most likely place we’ll find alien life in the Solar System | ExtremeTech

Europa, Jupiter's moon, public domain

Well this is interesting. Indeed, if any orb in our solar system has life, Europa would be one of them.

NASA is being forced by the US government to fly a mission to Europa – the most likely place we’ll find alien life in the Solar System | ExtremeTech: n a rather intriguing twist, it appears that NASA is now mandated by law to fly a robotic mission to Jupiter’s watery moon Europa. Europa is an incredibly exciting science target, as it’s believed to have a 100-kilometer-thick (62 miles) outer layer of water, with water ice on top (it’s very cold out there) and a liquid water ocean beneath that. It’s believed that there’s more water on Europa than the entirety of Earth, despite being just a quarter the width of Earth. As we continue to learn more about the tenacious lifeforms found in deep, cold waters here on Earth, excitement grows over the possibility of Europa’s oceans harboring extraterrestrial life.

McMenamins UFO Festival | May 15-17, 2014

McMenamins UFO Festival | May 15-17, 2014

They've announced the speakers, but at this moment, no specific schedule regarding who speaks when.

Clarkson and Friedman are fine, of course, (both very nice as well!) but in my case, since I've been to both of their (very fine) presentations, I don' think I'll attend. Noory, well, no comment. David Marler will speak on the black triangle UFOs, and I am very interested in that, so, who knows.

Keep checking their site for updates as to times, etc.

It's a fun conference and if you haven't been try to attend some of it and be sure to check out the Hotel Oregon rooftop bar, among other things.
