Owner of Area 51 website has Nevada home searched, seized by federal agents

Here is the KLAS report on the raid on Joerg Arnu's homes. (See my post below.) Not much information here; Arnu doesn't know why his homes were searched, or why his devices were taken.

FBI and Airforce in full riot gear raid home of Area 51 YouTube | Boing Boing: On November 3, armed agents of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and FBI raided the home of a Las Vegas man who makes a podcast about the Nevada military base known as Area 51.

Joerg Arnu, who has a podcast concerning Area 51, was dragged out of his home by Airforce and FBI agents. His girlfriend, in their Las Vegas home at the time, was also  dragged out. Arnu's homes were searched, all his equipment confiscated. Why now -- Arnu had been running his podcasts and videos since 1999. Who, or what, caused this search?

On Twitter, George Knapp tweeted on the 14th that he was "gathering info for the story" which will be aired on KLAS Tuesday night, the 15th. It's now the 17th but I assume one could still access the story. I'm sure there is more to come on this from Knapp.

My Own Planet

I have my own planet! One up on Elon Musk.

Regan's Planet, by Robert Silverberg, found while I was organizing my bookshelves. Published in 1964. Haven't read this one but now I have to of course. Love the cover art.

Mysterious space plane has landed after three years in orbit | Boing Boing

908 days, this US military plane has been "orbiting Earth for unknown reasons." More on BoingBoing.net:

Brings up all kinds of shadow government conspiracy speculations, doesn't it?

The Witchy Magick Season: Art, BVM and Apparitions

My art groove is back. Rearranged my paranormal library; here's my Marian Apparition shelf.

I'm keeping my Doreen Virtue Mary Oracle deck, even though Virtue's turned against the occult and became born again, denouncing her past heathen pagan ways. I could have sworn I had more books on BVM apparitions.

Years ago I put together a free PDF e-book on Mary as Trickster on Lulu.com. You can download it here.

Speaking of apparitions, I recently completed this:

Apparition, acrylic and ink on canvas, 18" by 20"

Back to the Marian apparitions topic, I did this collage about a year ago:

Dollhouse People, digital collage

The collage was created by using a photograph of a pasture where I saw a dollhouse just sitting there in the middle of nowhere. I added the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, then played with the color on the computer.

And this of the Blessed Mary, done about a year ago:

UFO Mary, oil pastel on paper

I have a blog titled UFO-Mary, but due to Google-Blogspot password insanity, I can't access the blog.  Very frustrating!

Sinister Spirit, acrylic on masonite, James Rich

This painting was done by my husband. I had posted it at my UFO-Mary blog. As someone commented, it has a Buddha like feeling. Jim and I both thought it looked like an abstracted goddess or BVM figure.

Samhain Dance, acrylic and ink on canvas, Regan Lee

I painted Samhain Dance last month, October, the witchy season.

Musk Takes Twitter, FB Down and Covid Zombie

I can't help it; I find it an odd synchronicity that the same day Elon Musk took over Twitter (firing top execs one of his first edicts) Facebook is down. Another synchronicity, which is an eerie one for sure. A recent Paranormal Declassified episode, hosted by Paul Beban, filmed two years ago, investigated global "zombie" pandemics. Not movie zombies who stumble out of graves and eat the flesh of the living, but a virus of some kind. During this episode, Paranormal Declassified had to shut down. Because of Covid, which had just made its appearance on the world stage.

Also, zombie rabbits are a thing.  As are vampire bunnies. (the first in the series, Bunnicula, is my favorite.)

The Temporary Psychic Episodes of the Post Orb Encounter

The Orange Orb

We saw the large orange orb. I had the ridiculous yet unshakeable sense that the orb was waiting for me. When I saw it off in the distance, stationary, and thought “What the hell is that?!” it zoomed from the top of the hill (which, I judged, was roughly a mile away since we walked to that hill many a time) to across the road from us. And, followed us. And then I had, the simlarlar riduculous feeling again (but nonetheless accurate) that it was playing with me. Us. Me. Plus, missing time. Watching the orb from the back of my husband’s motorcyle (who only saw the orb briefly, he did not pull over to look) it followed us until we turned the corner to park in front of our rented house. The orb then dropped down into the back yard of a nieghobor’s house catty-corner from ours.

It was night. Dark. Around 8 pm ish. I did not know the nieghbors in that house. What was I going to do? Knock on their door and say ‘Hi, I live just right over there and was wondering, have you noticed a UFO or giant orange orb in your backyard? Anything?”

Aftermath

So, there was that. But also, more after that sighting. Aside from my determintion to find out what it was I saw, and why (which, forty years later, I have yet to discover) was the aftermath.

For some time, I had intense psychic eprisodes. I’ve always had those, but nothing like what i experienced for a few years immediately following the Orange Orb Encounter:

The Purple Car

Before cell phones. Waiting outiside the community center’s pool for my husband to pick me up. The center’s office was closed. No phone nearby. A pay phone in the strip mall across the road -- maybe. So I’m waiting, and suddenly, I “see” as vividly as anything, my husband pulling into the center’s parking lot. Except he is in the passenger seat, and his cousin is driving the car. And the car is purple. I don’t remember the make of the car, but it was something like a Ford Torino, or a Chevy Nova. Crazy big boat car, purple. Well, sure enough, a purple boat like car pulls into the lot, cousin driving, my husband in the passenger seat. They were very surpised I wasn’t at all hyper anxious (as is often my state in those situations) because I had seen the situation. Turns out our car had broken down (again) and so my husband called his cousin, who had to borrow a car from his friend (the purple car) since his own car was also out of service.

Community College Instructor

I was taking a typing course  at the community college annex. (I told. you this was decades ago!) Abruptly, a “mind postcard” slotted into my mind’s eye, where I saw the instructor in the classroom. Except the instructor wasn’t our regular one, the one I saw was a sub. I saw her hair style and color -- red -- and her dress, a green print. Yes. When I arrived at the class, the sub was there, in a green print dress. And she had red hair.

Pre-Kindergarten Student

I was lead teacher in a preschool class at the community center. We had a student who moved to Washington state. I and the staff, and all the kids, were sorry to see her go! A few weeks later, after she had moved, I had a dream where  the little girl came running down a golden tunnel of light to me. She was wearing a tie-dyed dress. “Ms. Regan, I’m coming to see. you tomorrow! I’m so happy!”

The next moring, her mother and the little girl -- dressed in the same tie-dyed dress - arrived at our classroom. They had come for a visit.

There are more, which I'll post about soon.

These episodes did not seem scary to me, or even unusual. I simply accepted them. And was always mildly surprised when others were surprised at my calmness in these events. How did I know, they wondered. How come I'm not so surprised? they would ask. I dunno. I took, and still take, these things for granted. Although now, I am much more aware and grateful for these episodes. It may be, for me, and others who experience these things, a "given," but I am still respectful of them.

As far as these specific episodes go, in context of my orange orb sighting, they seem to be directly connected to the sighting in some way. Even though I have always experienced such things, and continue to do so (although less so) it seems there's a connection between the sighting and these specific events.

As I said, there are more connected to the sighting, which I'll post about soon.

Reading Too Much Into Culture Stream's Images

Update: The synchronicity-trickster

I posted yesterday (see below) that the women on Jeopardy are always wearing blazers or cardigans. They're always covered up. All female contestants. So of course last night, after I posted my blog, I was watching Jeopardy and the female contestants were not wearing blazers, jackets, or cardigans. Not a one. In fact, one woman was wearing a sleeveless outfit. That was a first.

A couple of random thoughts on subliminal messages in the culture stream.

Watching Jeopardy this week, I noticed their sponsor was Moderna. Moderna's motto: "Second Chance." A second chance at what, I wondered. Don't give up, there's always a "second chance" with  Covid, despite all its forms and mutations. Especially if you're vaccinated and boosted. (Which I am.) Just found it odd and surreally amusing. (Speaking of Jeopardy, why do the female contestants always wear a blazer -- often ill fitting and not in the least bit stylish -- or a cardigan? The male contestants don't always wear jackets. There has to be a reason for this. Afraid of breasts?)

Then there's baseball. Of which I know very little and don't care. (Unless it's the Dodgers, then I want them to win.) But I noticed something about the Guardians, formerly the Indians. The Guardians changed the name of their team to appear more sensitive to stereotypes. But I noticed on their uniforms the last part of the word Guardians: dians. Subtle imagery reminding us of Indians; a defiant "Yeah, we changed the name due to pressure but ... ha." And, one of their uniform shirt colors is red. Hmm.

This is what falling down the rabbit hole does to ones mind.

McMinnville, Oregon UFO: Festivals and Hoaxes

Oh, many years ago. A little chapbook type thingie I put up on Lulu.com It's free. What the hell. McMinnville, Oregon UFO: Festivals and Hoaxes

Orange Orb on Route 66

Always interested in glowing orange orb reports. Here's one from boingboing.net:

What is the freaky glowing orange orb that's been spotted on Route 66 for more than a century? | Boing Boing: For more than a century, travelers on Route 66 have reported seeing a weird glowing orange orb around the intersection of Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. The otherworldly orb, called the Hornet Spook Light, is usually seen on a short rural road just off 66 that's nicknamed the Devil's Promenade. (boingboing.net)

Sounds more like a natural phenomenon than a UFO, like the orb I saw decades ago.

The CIA and Wooly Mammoths

They do keep trying. What is it with the desire of Mad Science to bring back the wooly mammoth? This item from BoingBoing:

The CIA's venture capital firm just backed Woolly Mammoth cloning | Boing Boing.

So many questions. So many. Why is the CIA, of all institutions, involved? What do they care? Why do they care? Winklevoss Capital is investing in this project. The Winklevoss twins, who invented, or partially invented, depending on one's opinion, Facebook.

The octopoid tendrils reach far indeed in Forteana.

Fortean Type Hospital Experiences

One could say just being in the hospital is weird enough. Especially after spending two weeks in, then a week and a half out, then back in again for another stay of a week. Thankfully, spouse is better than ever all the hell he's been through and things are looking good.

While there -- I spent the nights there with him, as most of each day -- two odd things happened.

The first: deja vu. I had at least three distinct cases of deja vu. I haven't experienced deja vu in a couple of years, at least. It was something I experienced all the time as a child, up into my teens, and then occasionally as an adult.  It was both unnerving and kind of neat in a strange way.

The second event involved tarot cards. While staying in the hospital with my husband, I would dash home to take care of the house, then rush back to the hospital. As I was leaving the house one day, I had the urge to bring a deck of tarot cards with me. I usually carry a mini-sized deck with me but wasn't during that time, and anyway, I felt the urge to bring a larger deck with me.

So I picked up my Tarot Wonderland deck and left.

Later that day, a CNA came in and mentioned the tarot. I said "Speaking of tarot," and pulled out my deck. She said to me "I knew you were all about that, I could tell by looking at you, that's why I mentioned it." She asked if I could give her a reading, which I did. And we had a nice conversation about sage and candles.

I don't know what it is about me that has some people just know I'm "all about tarot" but there you go.
