Read it and weep, I know I did
I don't know what's going on but it isn't good, all my blogs are utterly screwed up and I have no access. Thanks, Google-Blogger! Well, you get what you pay for. So here's this: Orb News. Whatever.
Sunday Orb Ramblings
Trying to get inspired, or motivated, something. Not for lack of exciting news in UFO-Fortean land, for there's plenty.
The cow being lifted by an orange beam continues to intrigue. Green beings in the Pennsylvania woods is another exciting story.
The UFO flap is continuing, and there's the still strangely quiet story of the alien beings inside a UFO.
I write about two dreams I had two nights in a row about Mary and UFOs on UFO-Mary. Despite the crazy almost goofy imagery, what's lurking underneath is the Trickster element in Marian apparitions, as well as the whole UFO phenomena itself. If nothing else, you'd think we'd all get that. Still, there are those stuck in the rigid parameters of any particular theory, rejecting all others.
I'll leave with my usual rant about self important UFO pundits who have arbitrary pronouncements about "the state of UFOlogy" which is: feh! No one gets to tell anyone else what to do or say, or who gets to do or say it. Unless they're debunker-skeptoids, that's a given. They don't count.
Oh, and be nice. Really. Come on. We're grown-ups! For more on that read Karyin Dolan's post on Women Of Esoterica.
Will something of stupendous UFO proportions happen on the 14th? Very unlikely, depsite the UFO flap, hugely exciting yet oddly under reported sightings worldwide, and our current global financial mess. These guys say something big will most likely happen about now. If anything does, my inner paranoia says it will be human made, not aliens. Project Blue Beam Mind Control stuff.

Oh, Right, It's Sunday
Sunday again. Cooler weather and rainy but still it's unseasonably warm for October in Western Oregon. Trees are just now beginning to turn.
ALIENS INSIDE UFO!
Well, what do we think of this story? UFOs photographed in thunderstorm reveals alien life! Red flags go up at the business/search engine tie-in on writer Ian Brokwell's part, plus the "aliens" inside the UFOs look very cartoon like. Then there's the copyright/no reproduction etc. notices plastered everywhere, and the costume advertising. On the other hand, the witness-photographer Christine Dickey is a field investigator for MUFON, has had her own past encounters, and an interesting history of hearing/feeling the urge to go out and look and there you go! UFOs. I've had that myself. We're also in a UFO flap and have been for awhile.
The response to this seems to be eerily quiet.
Hoax or no, doesn't matter. Hoaxes and distractions like this (assuming it is) are a part of Fortean and UFO events; just as much a part as the UFO itself. You can't have one without the other. Or, MILAB, Project Blue Beam type explanations could be the answer.
More on this later.
HELICOPTERS
A very interesting piece from Katharina Wilson of Alien Jigsaw on abductee Linda Murphy and her encounter with unmarked helicopter. One thing I liked about the story was the investigation piece. There's more on Murphy's experiences on the Alien Jigsaw site as well.
ESOTERIC TELEVISION
It stinks the Torchwood people think it's dandy to make five episodes, to air in one week, for the third season. Stinks, I tell you! At least there'll be a third season, and the latest seems to be that the Captain Jack Harkness character will be returning.
Fringe is still good. Last episode had the greatest MIB character ever. Excellent.
Looking forward to Eleventh Hour, and My Own Worst Enemy with Christian Slater.
My Trickster's Realm column for Binnall of America is about two shows: Psych, and The Mentalist. And Lesley, for her Gray Matters column, wrote this week about Fringe. (she likes it too!)
The season ending for Eureka has Sheriff Carter fired by the military. Not clear on the legalities of military, corporations, and a city all being in bed together, but it's TV. Good show -- we all know Sheriff Carter will still be around, and most likely get his job back; the question is, how will it play out?
VINTAGE STUFF
On Vintage U.F.O. I have some images of album covers with an outer space theme.
UFO MAGAZINE
My article in this issue of UFO Magazine is about beeping again. It just came out that way; interesting how I've written so much about beeping sounds in relation to UFO and paranormal events. And every time I write an article about beeping, either creatures, such as Bigfoot, or beeping as in your head, I get a lot of emails from people with similar experiences.
SHOULD, BUT NOT GOING TO
There's more, much more, but I'm tired. Time for a nap. The aliens can just wait.

Now This Is A Good One! Cow Lifted By Orange Beam
Linda Moulton Howe discussed UADs on her Earthfiles site: a story of a woman witnessing a cow lifted up by an orange beam into a craft. Perfect! Thanks to Lesley at The Debris Field for the link.

New Look
Yes, new look for the blog but it's only for the Halloween season, which is as long as I feel, probably until the December holidays. Then it'll be back to the previous look.
It's Fall, Halloween and other pagan witchy days. Right now it feels a bit off though, it's in the eighties here and they predict high temps all week, up into the nineties. And this is in the Pacific Northwest!

Big Mars News

Big time news about Mars. All kinds of interesting things are coming from out of there. . . doesn't it seem that all the news about what's being discovered up there is all so casual? Signs of Underground Plumbing Seen on Mars
A NASA probe has spotted hundreds of small surface fractures near Mars' equator that may have acted as underground natural plumbing to channel groundwater billions of years ago.

SUNDAY ORB
Not much going on. Sick with Fall crud, low energy, but in spite of that I like the Fall and the crisp air, I've been putting up my Fall season lights, my favorite string being an icicle style string with lights that fade from purple to orange and back. Very nice. And if I hear "Harvest Fest" one more time I'll puke. So we don't offend the Christians or give off negative vibes to the little ones, we don't dare put up witches and say the dreaded word Halloween; we say "Harvest Fest."

Speaking of Halloween: supposedly the building I work in is haunted. I've personally never felt that, but others have. I'll have to pick the brains of someone who's experienced those things and see if I pick up anything. The playground, in one area seems spooky to me, maybe it's just the energy of the space itself. There was a building I worked in that I, and others, thought was haunted; I felt and saw a lot of odd things. Interesting how I'm usually sensitive to those things but every now and then I just don't pick up on it; like my friends home (they've since moved) many others saw and felt things, but me, nothing.
New posts at Vintage U.F.O., UFO Mary, James Rich Studio, Women Of Esoterica, and tëme (an animal blog) and Pulp Jello.
Why did they put The Mentalist against Fringe? And when is Torchwood coming back? I ask you.
Mac Tonnies has a new blog; it's a great idea. Things That Look Like Flying Saucers. I love it. Here's a flying saucer I found in my living room:

Lots of little synchronicities in my life lately. Again lately that is. I notice when you put out the intent, the synchroniciites appear. I've often wondered why they are so trivial much of the time, and many a skeptoid dismisses them for that very reason. But isn't it enough they're there in the first place? Simple nudges from the universe or matrix or whatever; that's all it takes.
Well, while nothing much going on here, there's always things going on in the UFO, Fortean realm on the internet, as a check of the usual will reveal. The Anomalist and other blogs, way too many to mention here, but check out my links lists and do your own searching; you'll find more than enough to keep you busy.
And while there may not be anything I have to say right now that's stunning or interesting or Big Time UFO News, that doesn't mean, as a few others -- and we do know who they are, right class? --- insist, that UFOs are dead, gone, boring, useless, pointless, etc. Far from it!

Seeing Is Believing

Know what?
I didn't watch it.
Don't care, didn't watch it, don't wanna know.
Okay, well, I watched the last maybe 8 minutes, if that . . . I was waiting for FRINGE to come on, so before I switched to that I indulged the perverse side of my nature and watched, knowing full well what to expect.
The host, whoever he was, was kind of sexy although a bit much on the "I'm ever so serious and journalistically impartial about this UFO stuff really I am" side.
I'm just not even going there. Who cares? Not me.

Around the Orb
Well, I like the new show The Fringe. I watched it again tonight with Jim, he liked it as well. I could have sworn there were some edited scenes; some bits that were not in the first showing, different cuts, etc. Nothing that affects the story line, very minor stuff. Either that or my brain is slipping. Speaking of slipping brains, the line is "Excellent! Let's make some LSD" (see post below.) Other shows I'm looking forward to: 24, Eleventh Hour, the one starring Christian Slater who has two minds, or two personalities, or something (Google wasn't much help) Torchwood,Eureka, Monster Quest, UFO Hunters, and I hate to admit it, Paranormal State -- I see a theme here.
Look for my new Trickster's Realm on Binnall of America sometime tomorrow. The article is about energy, disclosure and aliens and I ask: what connection?
Richard M. Dolan has a fascinating review of The High Strangeness of Dimensions, Densities, and the Process of Alien Abduction by Laura Knight-Jadczyk,on UFO Digest, except, page 3 seems to be missing. Every time I click on it it takes me back to page 2. Anyone out there experience this? This is a book I must read, because of what Dolan has to say. He's one of the few researchers out there that I truly respect. Friedman is another, and of course there are others. I have a few qualms about Knight-Jadczyk in a political context, but that's another issue entirely, and because of Dolan's insights, I'm putting those aside and looking forward to reading her book.

Blogger has a new gadget; you can see who's "following" you, so of course I put that up on some of my blogs. I'll get around to having it up on all of them soon.
Happy Kudos to me; Vintage U.F.O. made it to the top 100 most interesting history blogs, of all things, and my blog Mothman Flutterings was recently a Red Orbit hot blog of the day.

And, I have a new blog. I couldn't help it, blame Sarah Palin, not me. Her blood lust and her perception of animals, which is dismal to say the least, inspired me. So visit the blog: tëme (an animal blog)
http://temeanimal.blogspot.com/
As always, there is so much interesting stuff out there about UFOs and the esoteric world it's impossible to keep up with them all or comment on them. But visit the links on my blogs, and that'll take you to other places, and then other places . . .
Despite what some stuffed UFO shirts think, it is all good, even the bad.
