A Little Experiment: Pendulums, Telepathy and Aliens

I have an article up at UFO Digest on my personal experience with UFOs and aliens: A Little Experiment: Pendulums, Telepathy and Aliens
Three different times I’ve had the eerie experience of knowing that “they” were in the room with us. Who “they” are, I’m not sure, but a few things I just know to be true are: “they” are related to UFOs, “they” are not human, and yet have a connection to us, and “they” are very much aware of us; far more than we are of them
.

You might be wondering what Popyeye and Jeep have to do with anything; well, read it and you'll find out!

Thank You . . .

As always, so many blogs, not enough time, (I think I'll have to do categories) but Thank You! to:

The Daily Grail
The Anomalist
The Debris Field
Beyond the Dial
AltNews

Reality Sandwich
Cliff Pickover's Reality Carnival
Alien Casebook
Alien Worlds

for all the daily listings of UFO, paranormal, high strangeness, Fortean goodness in every way. Remember, these bloggers do this for free, not asking for anything -- some may ask for donations, which is understandable (and I've donated) but no fee is required to check their sites, as often as you like, and get the latest links on UFO and other paranormal news. So, thank you!

There are others, no doubt, that give us daily listings, if so, and I missed you, send me an email and I'll check out your site.

Information vs. Experience, Proof vs. Evidence

Musings on these things . . .

Information, as in research, data from investigations, records, documents is not the same as experience.

Experience is not the same as information, but, it is information. My experience is information, in a sense, even data, but it's not "Information." Some might sneer and say it's anecdotal . . . they are ignorant of the use of the word anecdotal, mistaking it for worthless, substituting it for a variation of "old wives tale," . . . also mistaken for being worthless. . .

Evidence is endless, extends upwards, outwards. . . we have tons of it, bunches of it, piles and heaps and baskets full of it . . .

We have evidence, we have experience. . .

We have information, even . . .

And still there are so many that balk and cry for proof . . . PROOF!!!!! . . . forgetting, too, that proof is no magick entity that will end it all, for there will still be those who'll argue over that. . . asking is it proof enough? how to you know it's proof? Prove the proof to me that it's proof...

when it comes to the fantastic, the hard to accept, even if it's your experience, no proof will suffice, if you have to deny, even when it's right in front of you, or above you, . . .

New Looks, New Links . . .

I have a new look at Mothman Flutterings, which was a mistake but we'll see.

I also did some clean-up on Snarly Skepticism, along with a couple of new items, including a review, kind of, of True Blood.

I respond to Frank Warren's piece about UFO Hunters -- really, one point he made -- on UFO Proletariat. (UFO Hunters: Ditch Diggers?) And Frank responds, in a comment. You can also read this on UFO Magazine's site/blog, The Green Room.

Cathcing the Bug of Synchronicity by Paul Levy

I love this article: Catching the Bug of Synchronicity, by Paul Levy on Reality Sandwich. A beautiful piece that says it all about synchronicity, and why it's important.

The End of the World As We Know It by Daniel Wojcik

NOTE: this wasn't done by Wojick; someone else did this and put it up on Youtube about Wojick's book. I have no idea if Prof. Wojick has seen this or not.

Well, this is a neat find. I was a student of folklore Professor Dan Wojick, author of this book, and my little contribution was to share my UFO library with him, for which he kindly acknowledged me in his credits. Professor Wojick is also very interested in Marian apparitions, (though I don't know or not if he shares my views on UFOs and Marian apparitions.) He was a great professor, his classes were all very enjoyable but more importantly, took a risk and addressed aspects of both folklore and Fortean type phenomena that not too many academics do.

Wojick is also interested in folkart, including folkart that has to do with UFOs, aliens, etc. Send images his way if you have any and are so inclined, or send them to me and I'll forward them.

Bah Humbug and More on Stepheville

I recently posted a piece about the
creepy beam" of light in Stephenville, Texas, aired on the UFO Hunters program last season on UFO Magazine's blog, The Green Room. A comment left: "bah humbug." Bah humbug?! On what; the light, my comments, UFOs,? LOL, I know, just a troll, still. . . don't you wish when trolls post, they at least make sense?

Lisa Shiel has a post over there on her UFO sighting while living in Texas, and a good comment full of data left by aliencontactee, so be sure to check that out.

You are a very realistic person. You see the world as it is, flaws and all.

Right now, stress occasionally makes you feel trapped in your life. You usually have a clear perspective on things though!

Overall, your life is dramatic and unpredictable. You life in interesting times.

Busy, busy . . .

New Trickster's Realm up at Tim's Binnall of America: "Poor Bandit!" about Newell Partridge's dog who disappeared during the Mothman days.

I also have a piece up at American Chronicle (We Love Bigfoot, Even Though We Hate Him) on the many, many, many Bigfoot threads on the JREF (James Randi's forum.) Which elicited an e-mail from Randi himself!

I ask, over on The UFO Proletariat, Is Peter Davenport Pooped?

I write about the return of the Stephenville, Texas UFO on UFO Magazine's "Green Room" blog in The Return of the Stephenville Lights and a Creepy Beam of Light.

Thanks to all who have visited my mom's blog and left comments. She's come up with a screen name and is encouraged by having a blog on blogger. Visit her blog, "why? . . . thoughts of an angry old woman" here. (And now you know where I got the blog-bug from.)

It's still early but I'm tired; working all day, time change, all that.

One final thing: wondering if I should keep the black blog I have going here, or change it.

Happy Birthday Jim!!!!!

Everyone else, good night!

UFOs, Missing Witness? at Needles, California

I-Team: Mystery on the River Part 2 There was a report of a UFO in Needles, California in May of this year, of a turquoise object streaking through the sky. ( I saw an odd turquoise "cigar" shaped UFO last summer, and someone I know locally, who's been to James Gilliland's ranch said turquoise UFOs or lights are seen frequently. No idea if there's a connection or not of course.)

Journalist George Kmapp reported on this, including giving an account on Coast to Coast when he was hosting, as he does frequently. One intriguing thing about this case is the disappearance of a witness ("Houseboat Bob") and the appearance of MIBS in the area. During the C2C program, Knapp wouldn't give much details into the MIBS or the disappearance of the witness, saying the investigation was still on.

The MIB-like people (?) are called "X-Men" by many locals. The X-Men, MIBS, government agents, whoever, or whatever, they are, are doing the usual MIB like routine of questioning people in the area.

It's good to read up on what is evolving in this case. As the article states, part 3 is still to come.

UFO Witnessed by Many in Argentina

Fleet of UFOs Allegedly Landed in Chicoana, Argentina by Jaime Barrera and translated by UFO researcher Scott Corrales.

Extremely interesting report of UFOs landing in front of witnesses in Argentina. Much about this is amazing of course, but I'm focusing here on the lack of response and interest by authorities. As with the Stephenville Lights and the Phoenix Lights, (for example) police and other agencies often have a strange disinterest in the weirdness of large, unexplained craft in their midst. The opening sentence of Barrera's article:
Strange, deep marks left on three wheat fields. Hundred of witnesses reported the event to the police, but law enforcement gave it little importance.

One police officer offered his opinion the strange marks left on the ground was not made by any UFO, but "wind."
The object seemed to affect cell phones and cars:
"
We saw the first lights with my son around 3 a.m. and tried to film them, but curiously, our cellphones stopped working, as though they had no batteries in them. . . Later, whatever landed on the field, the source of the flashes, took off and went away at an astonishing speed. Our cellphones worked normally after that," explained Martinez.

Another interesting characteristic of this sighting: the atypical reactions of animals. Often in UFO and related events, animals have strange reactions to the phenomena, hiding, barking incessantly, running away, etc.

Children and staff members from a school also saw the strange lights, and again, their cameras and cell phones didn't work:
My aunt," said Pedro, 13, "lives near the school and has a video device. The same thing happened to her. It didn't work, as though its batteries had run out."

The article mentions that the area has had a history of strange sightings for several years now.

Mom's Blog

Thanks to Lesley and others who visited my mom's blog and left comments! That's so nice of you, and encouraging. I can't wait to share that with mom. Some suggested mom use a screen name; "Regan's mom" is clumsy, so when I talk to her later tonight I'll suggest it.

Meanwhile, if you haven't already, visit her blog: "why . . . thoughts of an angry old woman."

And since she's a dog lover, I've added a new "Daily Puppy" widget to her blog.

Mom Is Sad

This isn't UFO or paranormal related but she is my mom, so I'm promoting her blog. She told me the other day she's sad there aren't any comments. I told her it takes time, etc. but the blogging thing is all new to her. So visit her blog: why? . . . thoughts of an angry old woman, and maybe leave a comment. Thanks!

UFO Mania!

Trickster's Realm
I got my dates mixed up and didn't realize my Trickster's Realm column wasn't due 'til next week, so no new TR today.

UFO Magazine's The Green Room: Stephenville Lights and the Creepy Beam

I do have something up at UFO Magazine's blog The Green Room: Stephenville's Creepy Beam: The Return of the Stephenville Lights and a Creepy Beam of Light

UFO News: They're Here!

"You sure don't look like an iguana." ~ V, 1983

Some amazing UFO news from a variety of places that seems to be just . . . there, here, on the Internet and in small places. UFO Magazine's blog has some interesting items on UFO news. We're in a UFO flap and have been for at least a year now. MOD and others are releasing their UFO files and basically are saying "Well, UFOs are real, and we don't know much what to do about it." It's exciting to those of us who are immersed in this world, but outside it's business as usual, and yet, "they're here!" and it all seems so . . . casual. And I think if the Big D (disclosure) would ever to take place, it would be in this way: just a plethora of quiet little items, casually dropped about but without any mainstream big time fanfare, until . . . "oh, yeah. the alien dudes. kinda freaky, huh?' and then back to work on Monday. We'll be going fucking nuts over this of course, including "told yas!" but the uber-skeptics would still be fighting with each other, with us, with anything that they even think gives off the faintest whiff of woo. Now and then there'll be something about "alien rights" akin to animal rights, or like something out of the television series V.

UFO Hunters New Season This Wednesday
UFO Hunters new season starts this Wednesday on The History Channel. 10:00 pm Eastern time.

Mothman, Fire Eating Cousins, and Mystery UFO Guest

Lots of synchronicities in my life lately.

I was contacted a few weeks ago by someone who found my request on line about my grandmother Louise Gladstone (Lee.) Turns out we're second cousins. You can read more about that on Women Of Esoterica. But after the initial contact, I hadn't heard from her again, and was thinking very heavily about her yesterday; couldn't get her out of my mind. Today I found several e-mails from her about what she's found. (One interesting thing was that someone in the family had run away as a teen, returned home a few years later, with her husband, a fire eater. Not that unusual, considering that side of the family is what you'd call "circus folk.")

I'm reading Gray Barker's The Silver Bridge, which has been reprinted, thanks to Andrew Colvin, author of Mothman's Photographer II. So I pick up a bookmark that was in the bottom of the book basket, not even looking at it, turn it over, and there's a picture of a butterfly on it.

Finally, I'm associated with a local group of people who are very interested in UFOs, and they had quite a bit to do with bringing Dr. Stephen Greer here to Eugene about five years ago. One of the "members" of this group has been working hard to get another speaker here; we had discussed this awhile ago. I was thinking of him and what was the status, etc. very heavily yesterday as well; when, again, I found an e-mail from him today. Looks like it's going to happen, and more on that later. Very exciting!

Binnall of America News

Tim Binnall of Binnall of America (B0A) was recently interviewed by Karyn Dolan, on Karen's Through The Keyhole podcast. You can listen to it here. I'm happy to say that Karyn is also a contributor to Women Of Esoterica.

My Trickster's Realm column for Binnall of America should be up sometime Monday. This week's column is about Mothman and animals.

And last but definitely not least, the BOA season opener is an interview with Jim Marrs! It premired earlier tonight, but you can listen to it anytime, for free, here.
