The government has been disclosing information all along, lo these many years, and you're still not happy. You don't really want disclosure. You want confirmation. And that, my friend, just ain't gonna happen.

Dr. John B. Alexander, author of “UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies and Realities,” is a former Special Forces commander and Army Intelligence officer, worked on non-lethal weapon research at Los Alamos National Labs and has been around long enough to not only remember Roswell but to know many of the people involved in the incident. He admits, right off the bat, that what he has to say is going to tick off just about everybody who listens to Coast to Coast."

Interesting article. As to the lack of response from authorities to UFO sightings, on which I've commented many times, Alexander doesn't think there's anything to get conspiratorial about:

But Alexander says all of these agencies have one thing in common. They were all created to defend the people of the United States against the threat of human invaders. If a UFO were deemed a threat to national security, then certainly they would have investigated. But only to the extent needed to determine the level of the threat and how to counteract. Since nearly all UFO sightings are either peaceful or too wacky to even be considered legitimate, there has been no reason for these agencies to investigate their appearance. It doesn't matter to them what they are, where they came from or who is sitting at the wheel as long as they don't try to attack the U.S.

The gist of the Alexander's position is that disclosure has been happening for a very long time; via film, media, advertising, sighting reports of politicians, you name it. It's confirmation that is lacking, and that confirmation will never come.

Intuitively, I don't agree with everything here --- but then I'm not a UFO researcher immersed in searching out documents or with an employment history with government agencies -- but I do think that the intentional release of information, coded within the easy to swallow medium of movies, television, stories, and so on, is the disclosure so many are demanding from government.

On the other hand, read Nick Redfern's Final Events and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs which offers a different take on things... including an answer to what UFOs and aliens (at least some of them) are. I'm just about finished with the book and will write more about it when I'm through. I will say it's highly exciting and intriguing.

Cold Crop Circles

I've been working on a writing project; a science-fictionish, paranormal, conspiracy themed novella. It doesn't have anything to do with crop circles  but my request to my subconscious to bring up ideas took a turn last night in my dream state. I woke up feeling disoriented. At the same time, I also woke up with some ideas about the direction my story will take.

I'm standing on a little hill, in England, with Colin Andrews. We're discussing crop circles, in particular, the cases where a specific thing is mentioned, or even thought of, between two people, and within hours, a crop cirlce appears with the very designs or in the location discussed. At first, it's very pleasant standing here on this small rise, amongst the crop circles. Then things begin to change...


A wind comes up, and we find we can't hear each other very well. It's also hard to see any crop circles. We know they're close by, but they're impossible to see. Then it gets very cold. I start to whine, like a small child, "It's so cold!" and can't wait to get out of here.


At first I'm disappointed that the positive feeling I have about crop cirlces has been turned inside out. Nothing warm and fuzzy going on right now; it's cold, it's windy and gritty and uncomfortable, and we can't see anything, hear much. Then I realize that it's not the crop circles, it's something else, some other force, that is ominous and creating this disruption. That makes us feel a little better, but not much. 

I said that I woke up with ideas about some ways to go with my story; which, to my surprise, is a sinister direction. I like it, but it's not what I had intended when I began this project.

Owl Stuff: The Fringe Owl

I should start an "Owl Files," or something...

Today while searching for deals at the local Goodwill I saw a lovely brown square box with the words "Fringe Owl." Thinking it had something to do with the television series Fringe (the best series of its kind, besides X-Files and Torchwood -- UK not US) I picked it up. Inside was the paperweight shown here. Nice little item. Reading the small print on the box I saw that it had nothing to do with Fringe, the Faux Fox Network series; Fringe is just the name of the studio, which is in California. I almost bought it, even though I have no use for a paper weight, but after reading their warning label on how the glass paperweight contains lead, which is a carcinogen. California law, the label informed, mandates warning labels for products containing lead.

A Bit of Rethinking: Aliester Crowley and LAM

I've been re-thinking my opinions on "the grays," alien abductions and hypnosis and the larger question of ET and UFOs. I still think some UFOs and aliens are literal beings from other planets. It's straightforward: they have technology, they live on the Moon, or Mars, or whatever. They manipulate us and have been doing so for eons. Yep, I'm all about Ancient Astronauts. However, much is going on that suggests other, and more... not just the much flung about phrase "inter-dimensional" but entities encountered on the astral level, the line blurring between religious doctrine and beliefs and non-human entities, myths, mysticism and our own participation that remain mostly secretive even to ourselves.

In part, reading Nick Redfern's exciting and ---  as usual with Redfern, controversial and daring perspectives on subjects -- book Final Events and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs and the Afterlife has caused me to take another look at Aliester Crowley's  "LAM."  In this 1996  article by  Ian Blake for Excluded Middle, (Aliester Crowley and LAM) Blake writes, about hypnosis and memory in the context of abduction/alien events:

Before we allow ourselves to be convinced however, it is worth taking into account John Rimmer's observation that the witness in this case, "one of a number investigated by Budd Hopkins, had no conscious memory of an abduction before the investigation." The phrase I have underlined is important, not least because the Lam procedure also involves a form of hypnosis, albeit self-administered and -regulated. Rimmer adds that "the UFO abduction as a distinct phenomenon exists as a result of the process of hypnotic regression." And again: "...to a very great extent the evidence for alien abductions stands or falls on the reliability of memories recalled through regression, and the techniques of hypnosis themselves."

Very interesting. (Of course, Rimmer, et al are skeptics in the end.)

Of our participation, even while we often forget or are unaware of that participation in these events, Blake writes:

In real terms most accounts gained under hypnosis are so vague and imprecise as to be virtually worthless. The sensible reaction to them must inevitably be that they contain a certain amount of "confabulated" material, expressing the repressed desires of the unconscious mind. Hilary Evans seems to be referring to something of this sort in Visions * Apparitions * Alien Visitors when he asks, "Are we to suppose that, subconsciously, all the witnesses...were unconsciously seeking their encounter? And in that case do we have to suppose that every UFO percipient is also responding to some subconscious motivation?" I suspect so -- at least as a broad percept. I suspect furthermore, just as the vampires of eighteenth century Hungary were unable to cross a threshold uninvited, so the UFO entities of contemporary folklore are bound by a similar constraint. Having given the matter careful consideration, I am forced reluctantly to conclude that they too are unable to cross the threshold of human experience without first being "invited" in some way.

Interesting points about the use of hypnosis to retrieve memories of alien encounters. Revisiting the issue of hypnosis in UFO research is a positive that's come from Emma Woods story of her sessions with David Jacobs and Carol Rainey's experiences with Budd Hopkins.

 Richelle Hawks discusses LAM and the image of the gray in her excellent  UFO Digest article Yabba Dabble Doo; How Aleister Crowley Introduced the Iconic Gray Alien.
Hawks notes that Whitley Strieber, who is often credited with bringing this now popular culture alien iconic image to our awareness, doesn't think the grays are literal space-men:

Many might be surprised to learn that Strieber himself doesn't (or didn't) necessarily adhere to the nuts and bolts theory, or even that the entities are necessarily aliens. In a Barnes and Noble Author's chat transcript, dated April 12, 1997, he makes these following curious statements: "Is there such a thing as 'grays?' I don't know." " I don't know what the 'visitors' are." And, "I assume aliens are the answer when we don't know what's going on."

Ideas about how UFOs/aliens intersect with esoteric systems and religious presentations of "demons" aren't specific to Crowley or new to UFO research.  Remaining open to this arena and how it might apply to UFOs/aliens; revisiting these concepts often reveals a new path or two for us to follow in our journey.

Owls and Rh: Little Synchronicities

More owls: this morning, walked into work to see a staff member wearing an apron with an owl motif; bright cherry red owls popping out brightly on a background of white. Yesterday, Netflix delivered Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, with this blurb: 

"...captivating animated feature about Soren, a barn owl kidnapped from his peaceful forest home. His abductors bring him to an orphanage, where he must trains to become a soldier."

This is coincidental because in Jim's novel (sequels; multiple novels actually) he had just completed the section the night before where the main character reveals her time in an orphanage, where she was trained to be a soldier. (neither Jim or myself had any idea about the movie's plot, just that it looked like fun and artistically beautiful, as well as being about owls.)

On my blog alert, a post cited as recent on Luminosity caught my attention: RH Negatives. I'm Rh negative and always interested in items about that and esoteric aspects, including abductions. Clicking on the link that brought me to Luminosity, I find that the date for the post is March 14, 2010. March 14 is my birthday.

We're not done yet; as I was reading the post at Luminosity, I noticed on the menu on the right, under the "Popular posts" tab, the first item: "Owls, Aliens, and The Hale-Bopp Comet:Lilitu With Owls."

As I'm writing this, clue on Jeopardy that's on right now: an entire category devoted to owls.

Gary Haden on Eschewing Emma Woods

Another excellent article by Gary Haden at Speculative Realms:The Nausea of an Emma Woods Idiot: Paranormal Celebrity Munchausen by Proxy, the Revolt of the Damned Alive and Making People Sick for Kicks concerning Emma Woods, this time on the responses, or rather, non-responses of the "shrug-so-tiring/boring" variety from researchers. (some who I respect very, very much; but on this one issue, I cannot understand why they think they way they do on this topic.)

Now, this is a hard one because Haden's words are harsh, and as I say, I respect some of the individuals he names. I'm the messenger, not the message. However, again, when it comes to the intentional "mind fucking" as Haden calls it, of witnesses by UFO researchers and disinfo agents, there doesn't seem to be any question as to the acceptance of such devious, manipulative behavior that, well, fucks with people's lives and minds! Yet, somehow, there has been a continued silence and/or acceptance of these doings.

Paul Benneiwitz. John Ford. Emma Woods, for starters. How many more?

It was hard for me to read some of Haden's words concerning Redfern, for example. But Haden is entitled to his opinions. Again, I am the messenger, not the message. Among the many very important paradigm shifting (UFO-wise) elements within Emma's story is the relationship between researcher and witness. What people are still not getting is that Jacobs, no matter what one thinks of his research overall and his theories on aliens, ET, abductions, hybrids, got away with absolutely egregious behavior. Behavior that is no doubt illegal, or would be in other circumstances.

I don't agree with everything Haden writes in this article, though they are minor, nit picky points. Anyway. Read the article. As usual with Haden, it's a great piece, and he is one of the few voices out there continuing to bring the Woods/Jacobs story to our attention.

MUFON continues to wobble. Individual MUFON directors aside, MUFON as an entity, a system, has stunk for a long time. The Bigelow partnership hasn't helped matters any. And now, as Lesley Gunter has commented on, MUFON seems to be pushing out female directors. Does MUFON know what's it's purpose is anymore? And what do we think about the petition for 'The Committee to Reform MUFON' -- good intentions, but I have that gene that just automatically rebels against organizations.

Oregon writer Dave Masko writes on Sri Yantra "crop circle" symbol: UFO sighting signature Sri Yantra discovered in Oregon, now found... I remember this "crop circle" symbol in eastern Oregon several years ago, but, despite this quote:

Hainsworth said the “Sri Yantra” is known to “just about everyone who’s interested in UFO’s” here in Oregon, but it may not be known or understood by others.

I'm not in the loop, because I didn't know anything about this.

The symbolism of this sign:

In brief, the Sri Yantra is similar to an ancient Hindu mediation symbol, “but, we’re told it’s much, much older than any civilization from India,” adds Hainsworth while presenting a recently found copy of this proposed UFO “signature” at a recent “watchers” meeting at Seaside.

According to this site, Sri Yantra mandala is the mother of all mandalas; all that follow are aspects of Sri Yantra.

It is a mandala, a geometric abstract that symbolizes the cosmos which, in this case, is also the body of the goddess. The goddess is supposed to reside in her physical, visible form in the dot or bindu at the center of the Yantra while simultaneously permeating the entire universe. This 'double presence' concept is vital in grasping the Sri Yantra. Her seat has four 'pillars': Brahma - the creator, in the Northeast; Vishnu - the preserver, in the Southeast; Rudra - the dissolver, in the Southwest; and Sadasiva - the eternal Shiva, in the Northwest.

I found this while looking for more on Sri Yantra: orbs appear during a Sri Yantra meditation.

(Updated) UK School Tells Students WWlll Has Broken Out

Another story from the UK about teachers playing mind games with students. In the past couple of years or so there have been several stories of English schools creating scenarios -- presented as being real -- of crashed or landed UFOs on school property, complete with local police arriving on the scene. One school had a crashed UFO scene along with claws and body parts of the 'dead alien,' along with the news that a teacher had been abducted by the aliens. ( see also my UK Still Staging UFO Crash Drills.)

Not all of these scenes were about UFOs. A teacher in Scotland told several students to quickly get their things together because they were being picked up and possibly sent off to an orphanage. Students were told their parents knew about this and had given permission for their children to be taken away:

Deputy head teacher Elizabeth McGlynn segregated nine pupils and told them they were to be sent away. After 15 minutes they were told it was all an act but that the role play would carry on up to lunchtime.


In a letter sent to council bosses, the unnamed mother said: 'Mrs McGlynn told the children they would probably have to be sent away from their families and that their parents had been informed about this and knew all about it.

The students were told they had to be segregated because they had "lower IQs" due to a "lack of sunglight in their mother's wombs."

Another staged event: the "murder" of a teacher on school grounds, which, naturally, severely upset students. Still another staged an "assault" on one of the female school employees, complete with fake blood on the ground.

In most of these cases, if not all, parents were not notified that  these little scenes were going to take place, permission asked from parents. Sometimes, the scenes were enacted while parents were there as volunteers at their schools.

Yesterday, news from the UK of a school who told students that London was under attack; World War III had broken out. The students were not just told this; they were shown footage from the Blitz in WWII and a tape of "Neville Chamberlain's war address" was played over the PA system to simulate real time news about "WWIII." Then, students were taken by teachers to a basement to hide:

Teachers then led them to a cellar when an air raid siren sounded and a firework was let off to simulate a bomb.

Headmaster Mike Richards is quoted as saying, many times over, that the exercise was to make students "sympathetic" to war victims. Studying WWll, the thinking behind this staged stunt was that students would really get it, since apparently Richards believed students were incapable of believing their teachers:

'The idea of it was to get the children to empathise with what it was like.  "The big concern we had was that the children wouldn't believe it.

Parents were angry and upset, students scared and confused.

In all of these staged events there are shared elements. The plot may differ: UFOs, government officials taking you away, murder, war, but they all contain the following:

An element of violent surprise.
Authority figures assumed to be trusted and respected (teachers,school staff, police) carry out these fake events.
Parents are not notified that these events are planned; permission is not asked for.
The local police are often involved; appearing on the scene, pretending to take part.
Specific character traits and emotional states are the target of these scenes:sympathy,empathy,feeling emotions, compliance, unquestioning volunteerism/work.

The rationale for given by schools for these events vary: sometimes it's to foster creative thinking and expression, in this case, make it real so students believe it. In other words: real (as far as students and parents know) events of a violent, unexpected and even bizarre (UFOs) nature are to be fully, completely believed, lived, accepted and experienced.

In the WWIII scenario,  the headmaster said the goal was to get students to sympathize with war victims. The Scottish school said they wanted "the children to experience an accurate emotional response."

Foxhill Primary school, where the fake assault on a female staff member was staged, justified their performance with the two layered rationale for these scenes; fostering creativity:

We wanted to give the pupils a topic that would inspire their creativity and their imaginations which is why the crime scene was chosen.

And unquestioning acceptance of authority and compliance, as well as overall moulding of state sanctioned character traits:

"This was also done to raise pupils' aspirations and to reinforce a positive view of the police and the work they do in the community.

Who is observing these reactions of children, and why? It is not coincidence; these scenes are part of a larger agenda. Individual teachers may think they are doing something creative and different for their students, but the curriculum and the nudges to enact it are coming from somewhere else, and for specific reasons. A desensitizing program; get children to feel comfortable with the abrupt intrusions of authorities, of violence, of the unexpected. But it goes beyond that; even more insidious is the trauma factor.

If students (and parents, by extension) are told that all these purposeful staged events are to foster trust in authority, that contradicts the fact the authority has just come in and lied to everyone. The message is: 'It's fake this time, but just you wait, next time it might not be. And we're the only ones around who can determine that."  Keep people nervous, jumping with anxiety, never knowing when the next assault, war, murder, or invading aliens will come.
